They had the best chicken fried steak. Filled up a whole plate. The service was great. They had pool tables, a jukebox, and a game on TV! Doesn't get better than that!

Ok Giving this place 5 stars! 1. Great service 2. Great food. 3. Great ambience... This place is a local dive and out of the way BUT DAMN FOOD WAS FREAKING AWESOME! YES your food takes a long while, BUT they freshly make your plate [so YES that takes a long while]. The waitress/bartender is totally friendly and explains how long your order will take. The owner is on hand and welcomes everyone coming in. I recommend this place if you are looking for a good place for food! BUT IF YOUR A SNOBBY PERSON This place is Not for you. Just saying... BUT I'M TELLING YOU THE FOOD HERE IS SOO WORTH IT...

Let me start by saying it's going to be a while before you get your food. The kitchen is small, and only one person is cooking.That being said, it's worth the wait.The food is made to order so it's hot when you get it.With the exception of the rolls, everything is made in house. If I'm wrong about the rolls, she needs to open a bakery.The jury is out about the coleslaw being done in house, but if you're a slaw snob like I am, you're going to like it.Girlfriend said the mashed potatoes were the best she's had from a commercial kitchen.Tonight's special was fried chicken. So this is where this place separates itself from others..This was home-style fried chicken, not the breaded crap that everyone else serves.. Skin-on chicken pieces that are spiced to perfection.Keep in mind that anything fried is best enjoyed wishing minutes of being served. So if you get it to go, it's not expected to be crispy after that 10-15 minute drive home.With all that being said, call in your order early, and eat dine in.I will definitely be returning. Best home cooking!!!! Great food and excellent wait staff. You get way more than your money's worth. You can call in your order and then arrive when it's time to eat, or you can even pick it up to go. Give them a try; you will be glad you did.

Awesome home cooked food. The onion rings are the best I have ever had. Good place to grab a good meal and a cold beer. Building is what you would expect of a rural cafe/restaurant. Not going to win any award for atmosphere but they sure can cook.
