Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q

Everyone that worked here was so nice and seemed to be genuinely enjoying their work. They asked if it was our first time, and when we said yes, they gave us samples of the briquet and the turkey. Both were awesome! I ended up going with the pulled pork though because it's my favorite and it was also great! There's BBQ sauce at the table so you can add as much as you need. Sides are all sold separately. I got the beans which were okay. Not very sweet. The banana pudding was delicious. It was about 2/3 pudding and 1/3 thick whipped cream with Nila Wafers. The inside of the restaurant is big with lots of tables to choose from and wood paneling all over. Felt like I was in a very nice barn (perfect for BBQ!).

You just can't beat Rudy's consistency. I've been eating at Rudy's in various Texas locations. I am addict when it comes to bbq. You can't go wrong with Rudy's extra moist brisket....white bread, pickles and onions and lots of bbq sauce!Unlike the smaller bbq joints Rudy's never runs out. I like that. They make great breakfast tacos too. Very simple walk up grab your drinks and sides then order your meats at the counter. Bam you got a great meal.

Baby Back Ribs were somewhat dry today. Definitely not the best visit to Rudy's. Brisket was good though.

I just ran in here after a long day to get a turkey sandwich and potato salad It was great! I didn't stay to eat, so I'm not sure an the in house service or eating experience. I highly recommend the turkey sandwich on the buttery bun.

The place has a fun atmosphere! You go up to the counter to order and they hand everything to you there. The best meat on the menu is the moist brisket, jalapeno sausage, and pulled pork. All are super tender and delicious! Prices are very fair for around $8 a sandwich. You can order meats by the pound as well. There are a lot of yummy sides on the menu but seem a bit expensive for the size. A tiny cup is $2.50 if I remember right. They have a serve yourself bar with onions, pickles, peppers, plastic utensils, etc. The bbq sauce are in bottles on the table. They also have the sauce bottled for sale. A small one costs $6 and it tastes good! Not stellar bbq but fairly good bbq to satisfy a craving at a good price.

I have eaten barbecue my entire life and I can honestly say I have never been so disappointed in a meal. The maids were called and the buns were not warmed. How they can possibly stay in business serving barbecue like this in South Texas is beyond me. The only thing positive I can say about the place as we enjoy the ambience.

I'm so sorry I don't have photos, I just saw that on my Yelp account that I had looked up Rudy's while on a trip, but forgot to review them. We go to Corpus Christi twice a year as a relaxation trip. We love to spend the day at the beach, usually White Cap, or one of the beach access roads along HWY 361. Rudy's is perfect for ordering for curb side, or carry out for us, my hubs has mobility issues and by the end of a sun drenched day we love to pick up Rudy's BBQ to take back to our accommodations. I really love their sausage, now I'm a weeny so I get the mild, but it is so good, really great if you're low carb. All of their BBQ is good, sides are standard barbecue fare, and don't forget they have a condiment bar with onions, pickles, peppers etc. I will make a better review the next time we dine in so I can give you a more detailed review, but go get your meat on!

A great Rudy's! We stopped at Rudy's on the way to Padre Island National Seashore. Took our BBQ to go for a picnic on the beach.Excellent pulled pork, jalapeño sausage, and brisket. Always good. Not fancy at all. Mostly always open. Many locations like this one have gas. Always have sports on TV. My go to menu items: Breakfast* brisket egg and cheese taco Most any other time* thin sliced Turkey sandwich* baked potato * sometimes with brisket or Turkey * prime rib Friday or Saturday when available

Excellent BBQ. Brisket Moist and jalapeño sausage so good. Employees very friendly and helpful.
