Rowdy Maui

Funny, cool, beach, artistic, aesthetic driven. I'm glad we stopped in here! It was funny and had some great gifts plus cool artsy things. Bought a few really cool things including a handmade card that I'll be hanging in my gallery space.

Rockport Strong! This iconic gift shop is a must-see when visiting the Rockport Arts District. This shop has the most unique, innovative and creative designs in the whole neighborhood! It's set up in an old retro gas station that's been converted into a gift shop. Somehow, they miraculously managed to survive Harvey and got their concrete donkey back out with a "Kiss our @$$ Harvey!" sign on it in no time! The store is air conditioned like a meat locker- it's so nice to get out of the Texas heat and hang out in the shade of their outdoor picnic tables on their patio while bubbles swirl around your head. The staff is friendly and attentive. They have such a cool selection of t-shirts, koozies, hats, stuff to hang on the wall. It's kind of a punk/son of a beach attitude sorta shop- with different stuff than you'd typically see around some of the kitschy stores in the Arts District, catering to a younger, hipper crowd than some stuffier shops. Their stuff looks to be all semi-locally made, uniquely Rockport kind of stuff, instead of the typical gifts you see elsewhere that are made in China with "Rockport, Texas" stamped on it. This is a fun stop off in the Arts District, and gives you a cool sense of the arts community in Rockport! Be sure to check it out! Wowie wow, Rowdy Maui!

Best store in Texas!! Have been shopping at Rowdy Maui since Kacey opened her doors! Not only an amazing store but also an amazing owner!! I would spend my money here over anywhere else. You can find the cutest things for anyone!

This place is so cute. It's like mermaids and glitter exploded in a room! It's a charming place with fun souvenirs, hand made trinkets, and bright bikinis. I must confess my real reason for writing this review. The cupcakes. Oh my gosh! The CUPCAKES here are the best I have ever had anywhere in Texas. The ingredients are creative and delicious. They are beautifully decorated and I will be back in September to buy ALL of them ladies. So be ready.
