Route 35 Diner

On the highway of 35 sits a diner - but not the one you picture in Hollywood. This Tex-Mex diner definitely has that worn feel when you walk in. Travelers, truckers, and locals getting bite to eat before moving on with their day. Staff were really friendly and quick to check in on us. Never ran out of tea while there. Food tasted pretty good too. If you're passing by and need a Tex-Mex feel on the road stop on by!

Very friendly service. The food was hot. I had the enchiladas with carne guisada. The meat was good, but the enchiladas were a little dry. I would return.

Route 35 Diner is a cute little family restaurant. It's a pretty nice place to eat on your way out of San Antonio. I stopped here along with my daughter and her husband. I had the country and egg plate and it was really good. Homemade tortillas, tasty salsa made it even more tasty. My daughter had the cowboy breakfast, two eggs however you want them, pancakes and bacon or sausage for your breakfast meat. My plate and my daughters both came with potato's and refried beans. My daughter's husband had three tacos but he raved about the steak and egg taco. The only thing we didn't care for was the sweet tea, it was way too sweet. That may have been a one time thing but just be warned. The service was very good and our waitress was friendly. I would definitely go back. I would like to try one of their burgers next time.

Nice dinner off he 35 south. Food was good. Prices reasonable. Service was good. Tequila was good.

This is my husbands go to place for a quick and good meal. It's got that old diner feel to it. Nice little restaurant for the family.

This is my parents favorite place to eat every Sunday after church so this is where they wanted us all to go after mass for their anniversary. I had the cheese enchiladas with carne guisada. It was good, not great. I had a margarita which was pretty tart, I was told they weren't allowed to serve until noon. I looked up the law because I thought she was wrong and according to Texas law we are allowed to buy alcoholic beverage after 10am with our meal. She made me wait 20 minutes. This is a not a fancy place but my parents love the food. My mother said everything she's had there is good. The menudo looked good. The meals are priced well and service was good. They charged me $.50 extra for the onions, enchiladas should come with onions.

Came here just before closing and the food and service were amazing. Our table ordered a Cobb salad, mole enchiladas, and the heart attack burger. Everything was delicious!

I have eaten here a couple of times. The service is friendly and the food is good appearance wise it doesn't look all that great but is clean.

My family and I always stop for Breakfast at the Route 35 Diner. We always experience great service and food, today was no exception. Our server, Adrian, was awesome. I highly recommend this quaint restaurant for all your breakfast and lunch needs!

They have great food everything we have ​ has been excellent. Chicken fried steak, enchiladas, meatloaf, the fish , beef fajita plate chicken fajita plate Etc . Very reasonably priced and tasty
