We came here really late worried that they wouldn't be open, but they were. The service was great and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend the crusted salmon. The appetizers were good as well. The ambience is very fancy for Port aransas. We liked the little lamps on the table.

We dined at Roosevelt's this evening, our last night of an extended stay in Port A for Thanksgiving... I must admit I'm struggling with the star rating here, as some things were great, and others not so great. I decided on the 4-star rating because many of the deficiencies were in the side dishes, not main courses, and Bar 1886 was an awesome end to the evening...Out of the gate we decided to forego cocktails and get to vino ... a bottle of Honig Sauvignon Blanc was brought and served, temperature perfect ... very reasonably priced in this day and age! We initially paired that with the "Cheesy Garlic Shrimp" appetizer and the special of the day clam chowder. The chowder was OK, pretty salty for our palates. On the other hand, the cheesy shrimp dish was on point... delicious! Served with toasted bread, we were thinking it may have been better with tortilla chips! In any event, the cheesy shrimp was OMG good... order that! It was huge, so we only finished about one-half!Our entrees included the seared scallops and shrimp, and the chicken shrimp "Invotini." Both entrees were very good, the shrimp, scallops and chicken were cooked perfectly... YUM! The sides (as noted above) were a bit off... the scalloped potatoes were so heavy on the thyme as to be inedible. The mushroom risotto was salty (common theme), and the asparagus side was undercooked. So, entrees 5-star, sides 3-star.After dinner we adjourned to the 1886 Bar, which is part of the restaurant. We maybe should have started and finished the evening there? A way cool bar, great vibe, served great appetizers and awesome cocktails. Mostly locals there, great conversations about Port A, and what's good and bad!If we had started and finished there, the score may have been 5-star. A great couple of cocktails and a "key limon pie" martini finished the evening. Drinks were good, the dessert was OTC (off the charts)! Darn good!Highly recommend Roosevelt's, but consider stopping in (and maybe eating at) Bar 1886 ... good evening, good folks, good times!

Do not eat breakfast here, over an hour & half to get a burger patty, eggs bacon and sausage. Then I'm a carnivore, and they put plants in the burger patty and sprinkle green stuff on scrambled eggs. The bacon was limp, the eggs were dried out from setting. Took 45 mins to get coffee then probably another 45mins to get the food. Menu does not mention plants in the hamburger steak. Even if you do t care about plants, it's not worth a 90 min wair for half cooked hashbrowns and eggs and bacon.

Always a wonderful experience at Roosevelt's. The food is consistently delicious. The waitstaff are pleasant and accommodating. Nice wine list. Prices are competitive to similar restaurants. Highly recommend.

We had a delicious decadent dinner here on a quiet Wednesday evening. We started with oysters Rockefeller, Roosevelt's style. Not as rich as regular ones, but that made them even better. Then we had crab cakes, lumpy crab and delicious, but just shy of outstanding. Charlie had founder, lightly crusted and dusted, served with linguine and rosemary bread. Perfect. I had the shrimp and scallop plate with risotto and cream spinach. We couldn't eat it all because the servings were generous and rich! But we saved room for a cream brûlée-it was also an abundant amount in a deep bowl and perfectly done. This meal was probably one of the best I've had in Port A over the last five years. Been to Tortuga, La Playa, Spaghetti Works, Virginia's all many times and now I think the extra $ is worth spending for a top notch meal. Kayla was our charming and personable waitress who did a fine job.

Place is so cute and vintage, service was quick, and food was spectacular! For a first timer visiting from south Texas it was very good. We truly enjoyed our evening and the steak plate was to die for. Looking forward to visiting here again soon!

Hoping to have a spectacular Thanksgiving meal at $90 a plate but was disappointed. A group of us used to have a traditional TD dinner here years ago that was delicious . Now the restaurant serves a regular menu which we decided to try. I had a rubbery snapper, my friend a dried slice of turkey and my husband slices of beef that were supposed to be medallions. The brussel sprout appetizer was good. The carrot soup was delicious! The bread was cold and barely chewable. When it came to deserts they ran out of our choice and had to slice another selection in half for my husband and I to share due to limited quantities. Thank goodness for wine.....
