Rodeo Restaurant

Stopped in Gonzales at around noon on the way to SA to see the come and take it cannon. The museum is closed for lunch from 12-1:00 so we decided to go get our own. Found a little Mexican restaurant that turned out to be pretty good. The salsa tasted fresh and had a nice kick to it. My son and wife ordered the 2 taco plate, both had a chicken and a fish taco and loved it, especially the fish taco. My son said next time he'd get 2 fish. I had the carnitas plate special. It was tender and a little crispy. The plate came with plenty of refried beans and rice, and pico and guac on a half an avocado. It was a lot of food for sure.It is kind of a hole-in-the-wallish place but plenty of seating and customers. No table cloths!Our lunch bill for 3 came to $30 (waters only). Good price, very good food, service met expectations. We'll stop there again when we're in the area.

Was hoping that we would find a little gem, but it was not for me. The location was a short distance from the town center. It was clean and the service was friendly and good.We received chips and salsa upon entry. It wasn't my favorite. The salsa had a ketchup taste. We ordered the Rodeo cheeseburger, which sounded good on the menu, but that opinion changed upon food delivery. I may have ordered the wrong item. The establishment was busy so it appears to be popular with the locals. Sadly, it wasn't for me.

You know it's gonna be good when the menu is in Spanish first. Yum!!! Salsa was spicy good. Drinks on point. Sat outside it was breezy. Tacos were great!

Stopped in for a quick breakfast taco, fair warning they are small in size so be sure to order two. I ordered a breakfast sausage, bean and egg. Beans tasted like they were from a can. Service was a tiny bit slow, be sure to plan ahead if in a hurry.

Everything was so good and the view was amazing felt like I was on an island somewhere would recommend to anyone on a nice cool day !! That sweet tea tho was FIRE you know the tea has to be good at any Texas restaurant or cancel them !!

Poor quality food at a higher price ...Lazy waitress, poor service, salsa was gross. Tasted like chili powder. Got an upset stomach afterwards

I love this place. Amazing tacos and I'm from San Antonio. I easily order 9 tacos each time I go. I only wish they had their menu onlinr

Great mexican food, great service. I enjoyed every we had which was the breakfast menu. The outside seating is cute too.

A lot of people love this place. We don't. Service was good, waiters were attentive but the flavors not right for us. Give them a chance though.
