I can't say enough nice things about this company. They delivered the kayak to us, supplied us with everything we needed and even threw in some extras like a pair of sunglasses and a waterproof bag for my phone and keys. They have so much knowledge and enthusiasm for the parks and wild life.When they came to pick up the kayak, they met us on shore with bottles of cold water.We were even able to pay with our credit card right on the spot.Convenient, affordable, knowledgeable, professional and most of all.....friendly and thoughtful.

I didn't even kayak this time, but my guy did. He had an amazing time. Next time, I intend to have an amazing time as well. Ryan actually paddles........and he is very knowledgeable about all things local too. He took the time to answer all questions about the kayak and area, then even took time to educate me about local foliage, etc. He even put my mind to rest on whether I'd be able to kayak or not. Next time, we tandem!!! LOL

My boy scout troop from Austin, TX camped at Goose Island State Park the weekend of 10/8/2016. Our camping coordinator enlisted Rockport Kayak to rent 2 double kayaks and 2 single kayaks to add to one we brought with us.The owner met us as promised at our campsite in the morning around 9:00 (interior to the site). He advised us we might want to wait an hour or two due to the passage of a cold front causing strong winds which would make it difficult to get started (which we would be doing directly into the wind). We agreed, and he returned at 10:30, and then we followed him out to the bayfront area to unload and launch.He and his wife gave an excellent set of instructions and tips on where to go; provided functional and attractive kayaks and life jackets for every seat in each boat; and cheerfully fielded questions from our group of mainly novice kayakers.We launched, had an excellent time (all of the kayaks were in excellent condition and worked great), and returned a little early; he returned to pick up the kayaks as agreed.All in all this couldn't have gone any better; and we greatly appreciate their service and demeanor. Highly recommended.
