River Rose Tavern

Been here twice and we have enjoyed the time we spent. An awesome drink menu to cool down with and great beer on tap. We loved our food and the service was amazing. These waitresses were on Top of their game. It's dog friendly and even has a pup plate! We will be back with our pup soon.

Everything was so good! There was not one thing that we did not like. We got a little bit of everything, and we really enjoyed our drinks. I got the Fresh Watermelon Margarita, and it was super refreshing and it was the perfect ratio of liquor for me. My husband discovered his new favorite beer here which was the Devil's Backbone. He now gets it occasionally whenever he sees it. I wouldn't have expected Truffle Burrata in a bar/casual setting, but this was delicious. We shared all of the items we ordered, and I new that we had to try the Ribeye Tacos, it was more of my husband's favorite but I still enjoyed it. My favorite was the Loaded Tots, and I try to recreate it at home!

Great service and great food, they handled our large group of chaos makers with skill and without attitude. Highly recommended.

Settled in the Canyon Lake area, this little spot doesn't appear to be much if you're just passing by but looks are deceiving. When you come in it has a divey feel with a bit of down home mixed in.They have live music a lot of nights and it becomes over 21 after 9pm. We decided to pop in here with our group after a long pool day for some drinks and grub.We had some of the chicken strips, a burger, pulled pork sandwich and some brisket tacos. All was devoured without a word. If no one is talking, the food must be good!The patio has some games that the kids played while the adults had a few beverages while winding down. The wait staff was attentive and very friendly. I recommend a stop if you're in the area.

Disappointing...We went on a Friday night and it wasn't very busy so we sat at an open table outside after one of the waitstaff said it was open seating. It wasn't full and half of the other tables had food boxed up and were ready to leave. We waited 15 minutes and several servers came in and out multiple times and made eye contact with us but no one ever came to serve us so we eventually left.

A true fun sports oriented place right on the river. Super casual. Inside was nice and cool. Staff was amazingly friendly. Service was quick for being very busy. Nachos were plenty for 6! Tacos look small but packed with meat and garnishes. Beans were nicely spiced.

Great place to stop and have a beer if you're in the canyon lake area. Right off of the river so we've been there with our friends a few times after going to concerts at White Water Amphitheater.They have a nice little patio outside and they sometimes have a band.... Sometimes a DJ. They do have game nights so it's a cool little atmosphere that you will enjoy.A few tourists and a lot of locals. The food is typical bar food but it's not bad.

Don't waste your time coming in at 8:56pm. The bar tender rudely stated to us if you're looking for food we are closed. Well we are a family of 4 with 2 kids so we didn't come for just drinks. The website says they close 11pm. My husband says this to her. She comments back we decide to close whenever for the kitchen. Not good business practices.

Kid -friendly, dog-friendly, live music indoors, and some creative dishes--what more can you possibly want?I don't recall the name, but the appetizer with sliced tomatoes, Mozzarella , pesto, and flatbread is a winner. Likewise the Philly cheese steak with waffle fries is great.We not only had attentive service from our own waitress, but were visited by one that had waited on us months ago. These gals love what they're doing.

Very enjoyable lunch. Great beer selection, friendly staff and nice laid back atmosphere. The nachos are great and a manageable size.
