We chose Trisha and River City Catering for our wedding immediately after our first meeting. Their menu selection rivaled every company we spoke to in Austin and their prices are fair, but Trish was what really sealed the deal. I needed to be able to trust our caterer to shoot me straight, and withing minutes of meeting Trisha we knew we could trust her to be honest and cool under pressure. I felt like we were her only clients, and that gave us so much confidence going into our big day. Trish truly worked to understand our vision and helped us create a plan that met all of our needs. She went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. We created stations that consisted of a grazing table with amazing meats and cheeses, sliders, Frito pies, mac and cheese, smores, and hot chocolate for our 300-guest wedding. Everything tasted delicious and the customer service was top-notch. I cannot express how perfect our wedding was because of Trisha and the RCC crew. Thank you for all of your hard work!

My daughter set up an appointment for a tasting session today to book this company to cater her wedding in February 2015. The appointment was confirmed yesterday. Within one hour of our appointment time, the caterer called to tell us while en-route to New Braunfels that another bride had just called and booked her wedding which just happened to be the same date as my daughter's. The appointment was cancelled. There was nothing more to do but turn around and drive back to San Antonio. Very disappointed with this catering company....would not recommend to anyone.

River City Catering catered my wedding in April 2015. Alane and her team are absolutely fantastic. My husband and I had the chance to meet with Alane in person for our tasting and she is such a nice, genuine person. I would definitely recommend River City Catering for all of your catering needs. Alane gets back to you promptly throughout the process and the food was amazing - our guests commented several times on how delicious the food was.

River City Catering did a phenomenal job at our wedding this past month. Trisha is responsive via email, easy to work with, and has extensive experience to ensure your day runs smoothly. We looked at several caterers but chose River City for their excellent menu, the taste of the food, and Trisha's ability to get things done; they also had the best pricing. Adjusting the quote for wedding day and accommodating food allergies for our guests were super easy, and she also made our dessert bar vision come to life! I would highly recommend working with Trisha and her wonderful team at River City Catering. Many of my other wedding vendors spoke highly of them as well for their professionalism and service quality.

Just had River City Catering cater a party for me last night. What a joke only the joke was on me. For over $600.00 it was a major rip off. Spiral sliced ham: just a bunch of ham slices piled on the tray HEB 35.00 and you get a real spiral sliced ham that looks like a spiral sliced ham.Cheese tray: a collection of cheap deli sliced cheese Vegetable tray with hummus: a very large bunch of squash, carrots, other very uninteresting vegetables all piled up Bacon wrapped cream cheese stuffed jalapenos- good HEB cheaper for the amount Meat balls - average go to Costco for $30.00Brie bites - Look cute however you need to look for the brie as it is so tiny you just might miss the flavorOver all for less than half charged by this company for could have had HEB do the catering We are new to the community so I read the reviews to choose the cater for the company my husband works for not a great impression.

I truly can not praise River City Catering enough! I got married a couple of weeks ago and Trisha and her entire team were a dream to work with from the very beginning. From our taste testing to our wedding day, we had full confidence that Trisha had our best interests at heart and only wanted us to be happy. Trisha was extremely responsive throughout the process and always willing to answer any questions we had. Her and her team went above and beyond the day of the wedding. Aside from the food being incredibly delicious, their team were absolute rockstars the entire night. The setups for cocktail hour, getting everyone rapidly fed for dinner to clean up. We could not have asked for a better team on our big day! Lauren was our on site contact the day of our wedding and she made me and my husband feel like royalty. Always making sure we had what we needed and would come find us to see if we wanted any snacks, drinks, etc. throughout the night. If you want one less thing to worry about for your big day, let River City Catering be your go-to for catering. Several guests commented that our reception meal was as if you were sitting in someone's kitchen and had just been served a meal fresh off the stove. I think that's an incredible compliment for a seated meal at a 120-guest reception. Not only was the food tasty, but working with Trisha was a treat. The tasting was the most friendly and helpful of all the tastings we completed in preparation to select a caterer. Throughout the planning process, she was quick to answer any questions I had, and she kept my spirits up whenever I worried about anything. I'll never forget the hug she gave me the week before the wedding when she could tell I was getting anxious. All this AND an incredibly reasonable price. We would recommend River City Catering unconditionally and feel incredibly lucky for the opportunity to have worked with them.

River City Catering did our wedding menu and the food and service was outstanding. Trisha met with us at the tasting, offering details about the food options and asking us about our history and vision for the big day. We sat and chatted for probably over an hour, which meant a lot to my fiancé and I. Trisha offered wise marriage advice, genuinely got to know us, and sent us home with the food we had tried. It was a great appointment.The day of the wedding, the food was just as delicious and the service just as prompt. While I didn't get to personally thank the River City team that afternoon, they made our special day and the guests loved the food. As a Bride from New Orleans, FOOD was one of the MOST important elements of my wedding. I have also worked as an Event Planner for several years as well as a Catering Director. I have executed many weddings and events and know the huge importance that food plays in having a successful event! After having decided to have a wedding in my Groom's hill-country hometown of New Braunfels, I was worried I wouldn't find much good food outside of BBQ or Tex-Mex. I was also planning a TX wedding from our new residence in Washington state so I had limited time in New Braunfels to actually meet with vendors! I scoured The Knot and online sites and found a few catering vendors to meet with, including River City Catering. From the first email to the wedding day Trisha was prompt in her responses, caring in her approach and open for all of my ideas! Trisha sent me lots of info and menus to look over and we made a tasting appointment based on the groom and my favorites. My Mother and I met with Trisha at the restaurant and were soon presented with plate upon plate of delicious food. During our consultation Trisha realized that my vision for my wedding feast included action stations and a relaxed buffet rather than a traditional seated/plated meal. She quickly changed tactics and her whole demeanor lit up with the excitement of planning a reception filled with food-fun! Trisha and I worked together to come up with a menu that blended our tastes as a couple including Texas, German, Pacific Northwest & New Orlean's cuisines. Since I live in WA, I was only able to meet with Trisha the one time and didn't taste the exact foods that would be served at the wedding, which was a bit stressful, however I had confidence in Trisha's talents and the quality of the food I had tasted. To say the food at our wedding was a success would be a gross understatement! All that night and the whole next day (we had a day after event) guests raved about the food! Favorites included the sliced tenderloin cooked perfectly, juicy and tender, the plump and tasty NOLA shrimp & grits, all of the many apps we served including watermelon brie and chicken & waffles, the stuffed avocados on the taco/nacho bar, and the late-night popcorn bar!! Nothing disappointed! I seriously can't say enough about Trisha and the whole team at River City Catering. Our Nacho Bar, Nosh Bar, Popcorn Bar and Buffet were all decorated in our wedding theme colors and added to the overall beauty and ambiance of the night.
