Me again with another Republic visit! As always, immaculate service and food. We got the quail legs as an appetizer and they have such a great flavor. Coworker got the ribeye. When I asked him how it taste, his response was "cooked to perfection" lol. I got the filet with crabmeat and delicious as always. We also got a complimentary chocolate mousse, which was nasty! Almost like ice cream. Love the republic and always have a great experience here.

Firstly, the hotel is beautiful set on the bay with an uninstructed view.. the restaurant view was spectacular at night under a full moon like a movie set with the moonlight dancing on the water. The waitstaff was very friendly and very eager to bring us what we needed. Started with an excellent bottle of wine and some of the best oysters (Oysters Republic :Six Oysters Topped with Shiitake Mushrooms Capers, Spinach, Brandy Cream Reduction) deliciously prepared and plated beautifully. I had the Texas Bob White Quail (Roasted Garlic and Rosemary Pan Sauce ) deliciously buttery but not over cooked - quite moist and flavorful. For desert we had the salted caramel chocolate cake. Flavorful and decadent with a cup of coffee. It was a gorgeous evening and we enjoyed the meal and the restaurant experience.

We were sat in a obscure area because we arrived and booked last minute. The hostess said that it we come back we have to make a reservation way ahead of time in order to get an ocean view. However there were so many empty tables. A little suspect. The food was cooked with tons of butter and oil and not what I would consider 4 stars. The vegetables were a little bland, but the steak and salmon were good. The red fish was nothing to write home about. Our waiter tried his best. There were not many caffeine free tea options. They only had peppermint tea. . This was enough to make me stop my sober curious journey. The bar was full of people in jeans and shorts, not formal or even business casual at all! . Do not even dress up here people. It was like we stepped into a Golden Coral. For over $350.00 we were not impressed. Now we know this is apparently the best in Corpus Christi??. Anybody know of any 5 star hotels around here? If not we are sticking to Florida or Hawaii.

My husband was celebrating his 42nd birthday at this gorgeous restaurant in Corpus Christi. Stunning views with beautiful decor! Upscale dining at its finest. Our waiter Ken was amazing at making our experience a special one. The venison and bison was cooked perfectly well. Not gamey whatsoever! The escargot was delicious and they provided quite a lot! The oysters were also very delicious but not something I would order again (personal preference). If you're looking for affordability this is not the restaurant to go to. You go here for an upscale steakhouse experience with stunning views. The service was impeccable! We never had a moment that our water or iced tea was low. The reservation process was easy with the OpenTable app. Don't forget to get your valet parking ticket validated at the front reception area of the restaurant. We will definitely be coming back!

Our experience at The Republic of Texas Bar & Grill was phenomenal, we had great service and it was a beautiful view. This restaurant is on the 20th floor of the Omni Hotel and Resort of Corpus Christi, Texas. It's very beautiful and the view is gorgeous at night and the day. The food was so very good and our server Ken was superb! They specialize in steaks for it is a steakhouse, they have delicious sides like Au Gratin Potatoes, Asparagus, Mac-n-cheese, and garlic mashed potatoes as well. We had the pepperloin medallion steaks which was cooked to perfection. I asked for medium well and it was true as we were told, specialists in steaks. We had lettuce wedges for our appetizers which were so good! For dessert they had the chocolate mouse with berries and chocolate cake. It was very good, probably the best chocolate cake I ever tasted. You will truly enjoy this restaurant experience. Ken was one of the best servers we have ever encountered. His attention to detail and service was magnificent. Take your family! Take your friends! Especially take Your Beloved, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Came here for a work dinner and I thought the staff was super attentive to my team and I! It has a very relaxed vibe and with the view of the bay in background! The salad was really fresh and presented really nicely; the tuna was also good and I thought the curry cream was flavorful. I didn't get a picture of the dessert, but the Pecan Pie was really delicious (not too sugary in the best way) and the strawberries accompanying it were perfectly sweet.

The view here was great! Our server was also fantastic. However the food was below par. We enjoyed the complimentary bread (super airy and fresh) and the Caesar salad (croutons were cooked to perfection and the Caesar dressing was phenomenal). The entrees however were disappointing, my boyfriend got the filet mignon which he requested medium done. It came out undercooked and he said it tasted like pot roast meat. The Seafood Pescatore Pasta was pretty bad, the "marinara sauce" tasted over seasoned, they'd thrown in some random peas, and the crab meat was oddly fishy definitely over powering, I'm not sure what they were aiming for overall. The small fish fillet that came on the side was decent, it was the only thing I ate from the entree. I would say this place is overpriced for what you get food wise.
