Pros--fishing is good. It was hot and windy during the day so we finished at night. The pier was awesome. Cons--Dirty. Had to clean the bathroom because there was a wad of hair by the shower drain and hair all in the shower. Had to buy toilet paper as only 1 roll in the room. All the kitchen supplies were dirty-one of the reason we chose to stay here was because of the kitchen but because of the filth we opted to eat out every meal. The fridge door was rusty and is the first thing you seen when you walk in the room, a can of rustoleum spray paint would do wonders. The grill had not been cleaned, overflowing with charcoal. The floors were dirty-would not walk around bare foot. Really was excited to come here, drove 16 hours and was really disappointed, should have tried to shorten stay but the places was between owners from what I was told. Hopefully they can improve on the cleaning situation would make this a much better place to stay.

Have stayed here twice and would recommend in a heart beat. Great sunrises and an awesome fishing pier, what more is there?

What a gem! So glad to have found this place! We haven't been to the coast in years because the place where my husbands family usually stayed had become roach infested. At Reel 'Em Inn the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the owners was nice and helpful! The only disappointment - and it's not a true disappointment - is the pier is not as pictured. The pier is rebuilt and very useable, but it is a work in progress. The pictures are misleading. All in all, a great place to stay - we will be back!!

I wrote a tip that explains it all but was prompted to also write a review, so here goes....we will definitely go there again. I researched the town and the little motels before we booked, for about two weeks. It's a small enough area that I got to see the other places on travel booking sites. This is hands down the best one in Rockport....zero doubt about it. It has the best location and the rooms were recently remodeled. So, you get vintage chic and a clean space. The units are studio apartments with fully equipped kitchens, full sized coffee makers and stove. It was clean. I called in advance and addressed another review on here about stained towels. Ms. Kitty's Fishing Rentals (the management company) explained that it took them a day to realize that someone had colored their hair in one of the units and stained the towels. Our unit had fluffy new towels. The A/C units are all new and ours blew cold. We were on the camera-right side of the cabana in the photo, room 19. It had the most amazing views of the sunrises. Private bbq and cabanas for the front 4 units. The back units have bbq's too but they bump up to a parking lot. The area is safe. The pier is the longest in Rockport. There's a huge market nearby called H.E.B. that kept us stocked on bagels, baklava and sushi. It's a seafood town, so if you want a decent steak be prepared to use the bbq! If you go, say hi to Mr. Haney as he walks his pug each morning. He's a sweet old guy. Everyone there was just amazing....best vaca in a long time! By the way, Port Aransas is nearby....that's where you want to go for a beach experience. Clean white sands, safe area, beer garden trailer right on the beach....I really want to go back!

I recently had the opportunity to stay here and it was amazing! I had never been to Rockport, but I will definitely be going back and staying here. The place was clean and looked brand new. The outdoor kitchen and the dock were the places I spent most of my time..love this place!!

The most perfect stay! Every detail was amazing from the toiletries to the Nespresso coffee and overall modern design. Location was phenomenal, gorgeous view, comfy bed and lovely walk on the pier to enjoy the water. My husband and I enjoyed a a really nice staycation for Valentine's Day. Such a gem! We shall be back.

Wow, what a surprise.... this place just became the sweetest, most charming, gem of Rockport. Take any Review prior to 2023 with a grain of salt, as this is a brand new motel, with brand new ownership that has not missed a detail. Our room was immaculate and perfectly decorated. Brand new comfortable beds and linens, modern layout with a big tv, refrigerator, outdoor patio furniture, it had everything we needed and more.... even a turtlebox! The design of the new Reel 'em Inn is amazing, with an outdoor kitchen / grilling space and each room with coastal views has its own spacious private deck and gazebo space, making it perfect for any party-size or occasion. But if you ask our two young boys, their favorite thing by far is the motel's private fishing pier - where they caught 2 fish! Make sure to experience the pier late at night, the dock is lit up and it does not disappoint. We are already planning our next visit!

Location 5 stars, it is on the water and has a private pier. Room size 3 stars, studio type, bathroom is very small but there is a full size fridge and small 4 burner stove, parking 4 stars, bed, 3 stars unless you like extra firm. There was only one towel, one wash cloth, no soap, internet speed was good. The biggest negative was the filthy caked dirty floors. We will not stay there again.

Great price & location for a couple or 2 fishermen to share. Offer king beds in Unit 19 - 22 that face Water St and the private fishing pier. No longer managed by Miss Kitty's, so go to website or call for your next stay! Not fancy, but bed was super comfy and a nice clean room!! Met the owners and they're really nice, too.

The first sign was when we saw the fly swatter hanging on the wall. The room was full of flies, spider web on bathroom window, a dead fly smeared on the wall where I brushed my teeth. Behind the bed was filthy, dust, had not been swept. Base boards filthy. The wall plug was cracked (safety hazard). I understand the hurricane caused a lot of damage and you are still repairing buildings, but that is not an excuse to have dirty rooms. We paid for 2 nights, but left after 1 night, we were disgusted. We stayed at Reel'em Inn because it was dog friendly and recommended by our fishing guide. Sorry, we will not be returning customers. Reading the other reviews, not sure where they stayed, definitely not in the Tan Building, Room 26.
