Reel Chill RV Resort

This RV Park great!The staff are very sweet and always there for you when you need something! The only thing we would like to see happen is to open the main club house open when the office opens. 10:00 am is late to open! Also the park needs a playground ! In all we really like it here!

We really wanted to like this RV resort because we travel here several times a year, however, it didn't take long for us to feel very uncomfortable here. The two gentlemen who ride around in the golf cart all day are extremely invasive and make you feel very uncomfortable. It's almost to the point you would rather just hide out in the camper. They make rounds around the park about every 15-30 minutes and stop to correct anything that might be "against their rules" even if you are in fact following the rules. The pool is the worst part. If they see anyone is in the pool they will literally sit outside of the gate on the golf cart and watch your every move. It's feels extremely uncomfortable!!!! We were approached several times about children getting in the mulch around the pool. However, we were with our children each time they were in the pool and they never set foot in the mulch. At one point one of the gentlemen (I believe his name is Rudy) approached us and said "do you think we can keep the kids out of the mulch today?". I was flabbergasted!!! Not that my kids had been in the mulch, but I can't help but think if this is something you we're going to be picky about maybe you should have rethought your landscaping choices (see photo below). They even took issue with how much sunscreen we applied to our children before entering the pool ! Unfortunately, we will NOT be returning and will be on the hunt for a better option in the area.

Such a friendly atmosphere. Everyone was super nice and courteous. The place is very clean and we enjoyed every minute. All the staff were very friendly. The pool was a fun afternoon activity. There were different games in the club house for everyone to play with including our kids. The host even came by and offered to take our trash to the dumpster. Super, super friendly. They had a donation breakfast and the blueberry pancakes were amazing!! This is a hidden gem that is going to get popular. We love the ease of booking online and checkin was quick and easy. We will definitely be coming back!

Wonderful spot! The park is very well maintained and quiet. Rudy was very helpful in helping us back in which is such a bonus. The dog park is very clean and our dogs had a blast playing fetch. They have bathroom and showers. The women at the front desk are extremely nice and helpful. Our truck battery unfortunately died and the maintenance crew was there in a heartbeat to help us jump it. We will definitely be coming back and thanks for being a part of my passport America!

They messed up our reservation so we canceled. We asked for two nights. When we received the email receipt they had only charged us for one, even though we made the reservation over the phone/ not online/ to be sure we were understood. We manage a park and know how important it is to pay attention to your customers wishes. They failed us, so we were Leary of following through.

Although the park was very nice and clean, the way you are being watched constantly by the staff/security was ridiculous. They have great amenities, but guest are not allowed to use them. I don't understand why these amenities are visible if guest are not allowed to use them. We wanted to love this place as we usually travel in a pack, but none of our 6 families we travel with want to return. Park was nice and clean, staff was okay, but definitely not family friendly place. I wouldn't be surprised if they make it an adult park in the future. Seems like that's who the staff catered to. It has potential, but maybe new management would be a benefit.

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Reel Chill!!! This resort is AMAZING!! The employees are all wonderful!! Rudy & Paula go above and beyond for everyone!! The entire place is kept very clean. There are a lot of fun activities too! We are looking forward to our next stay. (It's already booked yay!)

For my husband and I we found this RV park to be perfect! It is small, but not to small. There is a beautiful club house and pool. The grounds are very well maintained. The park managers are always present and working very hard to make sure all of their guests are happy. There are many social events booked for each month. This was our first time in Tx and we extended our stay from 4, to 6 weeks and already booked for next winter! Can't wait to come back!

If you want to smell sewer your entire stay, this is your place. The stench especially with the wind blowing (which is everyday is horrible). For the 10 days we were there the sewer alarm behind our RV sounded off. It's a high pitched sound that makes dogs crazy! (I'm sure it hurts their ears). No one did anything about it, we had to turn on the AC to block the noise. We asked twice for a picnic table, the grumpy old man said he'd get one when someone left, then proceeded to bring tables to our neighbors but not us. I would never stay here again.

Not friendly at all! They will drive by your spot and harass you every chance they get! Not kid friendly at all. Nothing for the kids to do. I have been camping for 30 years and I have never felt so uncomfortable in an RV park. What a shame because this campground could be nice. Gave one star only because it's new and clean! If you like to sit in your trailer and do nothing then this place is for you! What campground doesn't allow you to put up a canopy and cook outside?? Then when you call the office she asks "what do you need" just VERY RUDE! Just terrible! Hope the owners get new management or find someone better to run that place.
