yeah the cup is messy...but the contents are crazy good! A rich creamy surface hiding a pool of a complex caffeinated decoction!

"undertoe" half and half and espresso. Delicious.
"drop your fears" blend. Roasted in house yesterday and ground to my preference.

The coffee smells so good! Had a cup at the farmers market and happened to park near the actual store so we stopped in for more! I got the kiss-strawberry matcha latte and hubby had the a road runner-almond butterscotch latte. Both were good.

I was expecting more from Redbud Roasters. I read on their website that breakfast tacos, bagels, and other food items were available. I found out that they stopped serving food during the pandemic. Now I know, I won't show up hungry and expecting to eat next visit. The service and coffee were great. The selection of beans was impressive. Did I mention that there's a record store in the same space and great music being played while you're enjoying your coffee? I will definitely be back!

I forgot what a difference it makes to have freshly roasted coffee. Iced americano, so good! Quiet, you can sit and write in the afternoon. I'll come again when I need a get away from Austin.

While on vacation I was searching for a local organic coffee roasters. A grubby looking girl, untidy hair and very rude, kat, was the face of their company on this particular day. Everything was difficult for her, from grinding some of the pound of coffee I purchased and figuring out how to charge me for it to adding milk to my coffee, which she kept insisting was just a "watered down latte", not an Americano. She sighed, stating it was her job to "put up" with difficult customers like us whom starbucks had "diseneducated" (???). When I realized the coffee roast date was well over a month old (unopened, immediately after purchasing) she made yet another big deal about exchanging it for one with a fresher roast date, because it was more expensive and my paying the difference was somehow problematic. As a result I exchanged it for one the same price, but a medium roast (fresher date but I like medium dark). Not sure if this was the reason, but I ended up not liking the coffee at all ( threw out entire pound) , nor did I like the coffee that rude girl made in store. At one point I picked up a pen on the counter, which turned out to be the apple pen for their ipad (check out ) and she literally freaked out , saying it " is my worse fear to have a customer reach over and grab my stuff". Her worse fear? Her stuff? She also kept checking her phone and complaining she couldn't take her calls because she was working. Every opportunity this kid had to be an ass she capitalized on. Sarcastic and rude comments spewed out of her mouth like vomit. We didn't stay long, but long enough to watch her scare off a super nice lady who walked in just after us (and left with nothing). I cannot believe the owner cares so little about their company to have hired this person. It certainly made me question his/ her business practices and ultimately the product itself.

I am a huge fan of Redbud's locally roasted coffee. However, I work full time business hours, which makes it difficult to restock because I order a custom blend of decaf and caffeinated coffee which they don't sell at the Farmer's Market.Just now, I walked up to the store 10 minutes before closing. The door was locked, but an employee was inside. I knocked and they ignored me.When you have posted business hours (which are different on your website than what's advertised on your building, by the way) it's extremely frustrating to be shut out.I understand that local businesses are not giant chain stores with dozens of staff. But I am very disappointed in how I was just treated and I expect better customer service in the future.

Hold on to your hats people, Brown has some serious competition for my caffeine dollars! If you had told me that I was going to get real old fashioned hand pulled espresso on the square in San Marcos, I would have been intrigued, but still mildly skeptical. But this place is the real deal! The hand pump truly brings out the skills of the barista who now works with the complexity of coaxing the best flavor out of the coffee without acridity, and these guys have a fabulous one. This espresso had the creamy mouthfeel that is rarely found in coffee shops these days (and yes the kind of bean and roast matters, but still). The espresso was a sheer delightful expression of the coffee blend roasted till its deepest darkest character was revealed. A gorgeous crema topped a wonderfully toasty decoction with aromas of bitter almonds that faded into a floral finish. The artfully pulled espresso is complemented by very well made Cubano's and flat whites (that rival the ones I had in Australia).I had thought about not writing about this place in case ..they become too popular and my wait times increase, but they are too good to not be on your radar, especially if you are a coffee lover.

We found Redbud on a road trip in Texas and we have been ordering from them ever since. We live in Denver with an abundance of coffee shops, but nothing beats Redbud. It is extremely smooth and full flavored.

Great service! The barista had some recommendations for me as a first time customer here and was very friendly. Great music, a comfy couch, and a peaceful atmosphere made for a pretty awesome visit. And the espresso is really, really good...shots are pulled manually which is fun to watch. I'll be back for sure!

We came back in September and it was a fantastic place. I couldn't wait to visit San Marcos again to go there. Part of that reason was that they had a list of different coffee combinations that screamed for you to try them all. It was cozy and eclectic inside. This time, it's just another coffee place. The inside has been redone and it's pretty. However, they had the same boring list of coffee as everywhere else. Plus the girl making the drinks took FOREVER. There was only one tiny espresso machine instead of a nice big one that would have enabled her to make multiple things at once.Sad to have to take this off my list.
