I tend to always bring another driver along for a bite and they have never complained. He is still talking about how good the BBQ was. Very generous on the meat portion and also with the side. Staff are very friendly as well

This place has the best Tex-mex Mexican food you can get anywhere. All of there food is delicious! Best pepper steak! Best chicken fried steak and best homemade onion rings you will ever eat! My wife and I go out of our way to eat there. Better call ahead if you are having lunch there because sometime the close early if they are not busy.

Best breakfast I have had in some time! Got the Juevos Rancheros. The homemade sauce is wonderful!You have to know about it, because it's out in the middle of no where!!You can't go wrong and what I had, I will definitely get again!

Exceptional TexMex. All fresh, all cooked like it's supposed to be. Also steaks and while they are very good strongly suggest the large TexMex selection. Breakfast and lunch only (closed at 2:30 pm, Monday thru Friday). If on I35 passing thru Encinal make this Cafe a must stop. Owner and Chef was the cook for George Straight for 23 years and it shows, remote chance of seeing him as he's a regular.
