I didn't check out the restrooms but we went to the drive-on part of Quintana Beach. It's convenient to be able to park on the beach and hang out with easy access to your car and all your gear. However, compared to Surfside Beach, it seemed to have more trash on and next to the sand, and the sand was hard packed - maybe good for running, sunning yourself, playing games, but not ideal for kids who want to play with the sand and make sand castles for example.

I think I have a new favorite beach for a family day at the water. I love that this beach isn't too crowded, the parking lot is right next to the boardwalk, the facilities are well maintained, and there isn't a ton of traffic getting there either. Bonus - the drive along 288 near Lake Jackson is beautiful. The only downside is most of the area neighboring the town of Quintana is industrial and shipping, which doesn't doesn't do much for the shore-side view. But no one goes to the beach to look at the land, LOL! Overall, it's a gem and I suspect a new family favorite for us. We will definitely be back.

Starting off with BEWARE of mosquitoes- all the other reviews start off with the good but THiS is important! Family OFF or non scented will not work on these guys! They are vicious! You need DEEP WOODS off and we still have bites! If you leave the beach re-apply before walking to the RV Park because you will be attacked! We couldn't even enjoy being outside at most times of the day!!!! Second- the cockle burs are horrible. You can't walk without shoes. Pets are allowed but poor things have to get in grass and it's a nightmare too! The Park Host was super nice and polite - However the other lady that seems to run the park seems a little over the top. I get that people try to take advantage of the park to use the beach but she seriously stopped and accused me of going into the men's bathroom when I was standing in between the two trying to figure out how my husband was gonna get me the soap all while being eaten alive by mosquitoes. It's like she just wants to harass people for no reason. You can't have more than one car at each RV spot, we didn't but some friends from another campsite stopped by for a few min with their baby ( prob trying to avoid being eaten) and she harassed them too. It's almost like she harassed even the people who paid to be there. Again- a lil over the top. I would have loved to make this place one of my favorites but the mosquitoes- cockle burs and crazy lady will deter me from ever returning! Maybe if they focused on mosquito control and good grass it would be tolerable to put up with her but we were miserable with the bugs! Camping is about being able to get out and enjoy the outside and company and we felt TRAPPED in our camper unless we were at the beach. This is a RV Park Is nice. The Grounds are clean, & playgrounds are nice. Beach is nice but quite a walk from RV Park. Bring a wagon for sure. Beach could use a little clean up from debris. Found quite a bit of glass in the ocean so be careful even though no glass is allowed. I really wanted to love this place. It had so much potential.

After they took our money to enter , we discovered it was not a "pet friendly " Quintana Beach Brazoria County park. The manager of the park Patty Brismar was disrespectful , rude. She saw that my sister's German Shepherd dogs were swimming, barking and having a good time, she decided to come to us and say she had numerous complaints all day in regards to the dogs being off leash and barking. We were only there for 30-45 minutes at most. The county park was not too crowded. The families that were there were spread out along the beach. We were basically minding our own business until she approached us and went on to tell us that she knew better than my brother in law the way his dogs should be behaving and acting at the beach. She was extremely rude!!!! She chose to decide for Brazoria County who was "Welcome" at their county park and beach... Needless to say the park is not worth the trip to drive to from Houston...

You are supposed to review the place, not all the stuff around it which doesn't even belong to the park. This place is very nice and always clean. Tons of room for families to play and enjoy the outdoors. They are made this place so enjoyable. Nice clean bathrooms with showers, laundry mat, event hall, rental cabins, playground and bbq pits. This is a real Rv park, not a 2017 rv park with Wifi. People are afraid to enjoy themselves without social media and television. I think y'all are doing a great job and offer such a wonderful place to spend time at!!

Nice people answering the phones and setting you up for the park. The beach access from the park is some of the best in Surfside. I recommend it for both camping and day trips.

Nope! We will NEVER waste our time or money booking this place again. Every single time we have gone here something has gone wrong. We tried to look past it because stuff happens but never again. We made reservations in December and showed up (after paying in full) and the office was closed for lunch. So we went to our site and set up. One of the roads were closed so we went up the other side, like the sign said to do. Some of the concrete was new and of course our site was one of them. So we ended up backing in. Took time to set everything up and then headed up to the office. We walked in to check in and she handed us a map with another spot highlighted. I told her that wasn't our spot. She said they emailed us (Yes, emailed us) to change our spot number. I have gotten every email from them but nothing that said they were moving our spot. Our camper is big so we pick certain spots that we know it will work in. She of course she was rude about it. I asked for a refund and she said ok but not the first night. Not ok! This was in no way our fault. Avoid this place!!! They don't even have working restrooms or laundry room! And they don't let people know that before they go. We had friends go months ago and they needed the restroom and laundry room and never were told about it. There were no signs saying that any sites were closed! The site they were trying to move us to holds water when it rains. So we left and will NEVER go back!

Had such a wonderful time! Tried to stay in Galveston campgrounds but they were full, and I'm glad because we found this place. Loved the campground and how much space you had. Facilities (bathrooms, showers, laundry, playground, etc) were great. Even though you can't see the beach you are a short walk, and can hear the waves from your campsite. Fishing pier was an added bonus. Yes there are bugs but that's part of camping, bring bug spray. Will defiantly be back.
