My first visit to South Texas and I'm glad we chose Port Aransas. Miles and miles of sandy beaches that are clean and minimal seaweed. We loved every minute we spent on the beach with rolling waves. Can't wait for our next visit.

Went to Port Aransas Beach for spring break and to my surprise it wasn't as busy as I expected. Great beacfor kids.It was mostly clean, no debris. Lifeguards were on watch when it was windy.

We loved Part A Beach! Cooler water, a little deeper closer to shore, very nice silty sand.We spent the day and it wasn't crowded at all. It was very tranquil just floating on the swells. Will definitely be back asap!

My earliest memories were inhanced by the musky salt air, sand and saltwater of the beach in Port Aransas Texas! While you probably won't see Texas beaches show up on the top 10 list, they are special. Still one of the few places you can find a genuinely private spot in the dunes while peering out at the endless mystery of the Gulf.If you ever have a chance, visit the Padre Island National Seashore, relax and be amazed.

A nice beach, gets crowded even during the week. Build a sandcastle, go fishing, walk the pier, the possibilities are endless. Everything seemed pretty clean and parking was accessible. 2021 #60

This is my third Texas beach. It's better than Galveston but not as awesome as South Padre. (The town and accommodations aren't as nice as South Padre in my opinion). Saying that, it isn't crowded at all but we came before prime season. The beach was being cleaned of seaweed for Memorial Day. We got a parking pass at a local grocery store which had cheaper beach gear than the touristy stores. Overall, I'd come again but I'd definitely rate other beaches over this one. (The white sand beaches of Florida beat any here in Texas.)

We've been traveling down to PA from Fort Worth for a few years now. We've never camped on the beach because we didn't want to deal with no showers, etc so we would get a hotel. However, this year we decided to put our roof top tent to use and tent camp! After watching the weather and tide charts (you HAVE to watch them if you're going to stay the night so your site doesn't float away at night LOL), we decided this weekend was perfect! And it truly was, last night was a wonderful, mild evening -with the exception of rowdy kids walking up and down the beach blaring their music at 2am- filled with sounds of the tide ebbing and flowing. You HAVE to get a beach parking permit, $12, which we scored from the Stripes gas station. It's good for the year. There are free parking miles markers between 52-58 (I believe there are other blocks too, just have to watch for the signs. But just get the pass in case those blocks are full. Which they mostly likely will be if you dont get there early). We don't fish so I don't have any pointers for that, but bring your kites and sunscreen! And food! It's a beautiful beach, pretty, clean (please throw your trash away!!!!!!There are bins for it) and very enjoyable.

Another gem for camping as I dodge winter weather. To get to the beach you take your vehicle on a free ferry ride to Aransas beach. The beach is a long stretch of sand and surf with plenty of space, port a potties, trash receptacles, surfer showers and semi regular patrols by local law enforcement.I really enjoyed my stay there and I plan to return. Texas is awesome with so much free camping available.

This is definitely one of the most popular tourist spots in Texas and for good reason. However, there is one thing you need to be warned about upfront! You are allowed to park your vehicle on the beach but you must have a permit sticker otherwise you will be subjected to a $500 fine. You must purchase these stickers at local convenience stores that are located near the beach for $12. So make sure you get that sticker before you try to park on the beach. Expect it to be quite windy so make sure you bring all the necessary things to anchor down your umbrella or tent. Definitely a great place to fly a kite. This beach would get a 5 star review, but at this time of the year the wait for the ferry is so ridiculously long that I deducted a star (yes, I wrote a review of the PA ferry). Make sure to come over the bridge on the other side of the island that the ferry is on.

Awesome place! RULE 1- BUY YOUR BEACH PASS FOR $12!You're chipping in to keep the beach clean and for porta potties and trash cans and trash removal. Be a good guest. They WILL FINE YOU! We watched parking write tickets to the Scrooges that thought they'd slip by. NOPE. But this place is so cool....You can drive down the highway basically straight to the beach, drive until you find a spot you like and pull in and claim it! No other permit needed! Pull firewood out of your car or truck and have an amazing night with a fire on the beach! MMMMM Smells like freedom.People bring RVs down the beach all the time. All you hear is the waves. You're on Island Time. Relax and enjoy.
