Roast pork lunch special. Ok at best.
Very disappointing chopped beef baked potato.
Fried fish, green beans, potatoes and okra.
"Loaded potato soup" so thin it could be drunk through a thin straw.

I really wanted this place to be good. Unfortunately it's mediocre at best. I had the lunch special, roast pork potato salad broccoli and carrot salad w/ roll. The pork was pretty good, very tender but the only flavor it had was from the gravy. The broccoli was made several hours ago, I could probably have eaten it through a straw. Potato salad ok, carrot salad had raisins and marshmallows not a fan. It came with a dessert, a tiny cup of mashed up apple pie with a burnt crust. We shared a bowl of loaded potato soup, it was loaded with nothing. Very thin a few tiny flakes of bacon dust. Meh.She got chopped beef stuffed baked potato. At least equally disappointing. The "meat" was blended. Nearly confetti. Meh at best.

Ok we traveled from San Antonio to visit Panna Maria and wanted to eat some traditional Polish food to complete the experience. The attendant at the Visitor Center recommended this restaurant - for polish food. There's no traditional polish dishes, except maybe the sausage. I can say this with complete confidence bc we had two college students from Poland with us. While that was disappointing, the absolute dismal food served was unspeakable.1. Beef & Sawsage plate with hot German potato salad, sauer kraut, and pinto beans...the only really edible item was the sausage. It was just okay...the potato salad was neither warm nor German in taste. The kraut looked old, taste was bland. The brisket or whatever it was, had on odd flavor.2 Fried catfish, sweet potatoes fries, and house salad. The 'croutons' were the size of Biscoff cookies - basically toasted dry bread, I guess the customer is expected to cut them up? They also served a prodigious amount of ranch, which the waitress recommended dipping the croutons in? The catfish was def not catfish, maybe cod? Or Tilapia. The fries were okay.3. Chicken Fried steak. They need to change the grease in the fryers. Dish didn't get eaten, steak appeared grey.4. Fried pickles - seriously no exaggeration, they were thin strips of pickle skin....also didn't get eatenNot sure why we stayed but we're trying to keep an open mind. The building is in disrepair, the acoustic roof tiles above our table were sagging and completely discolored with previous water exposure...we are convinced the local food inspectors are paid off or demented. We wanted to like this place, but alas, it has no redeeming qualities. They should change the name and take out all references to Polish food...

Do not serve burnt pecan pie.I have been twice and both times let me down. I don't like bad reviews but sometimes they are needed. The Rueben was not much to talk about but I am a little tough on places that offer a Rueben because it has to be on point and this one was a little off the path. The club sandwich was literally something I could have done without on my next trip but was trying to eat something different. Both times got the pecan and 2nd time I almost just walked off but the pecan pie person inside said just eat it and walk away never to return. Had a photo but deleted so that I would stop sharing the photo and complaining

I met a friend at Polak's Sawsage Farm Restaurant for lunch. We had a lovely time. The waitress was attentive but not hovering over us. We each had the special. She had baked chicken and it looked wonderful. I had fried catfish. Both came with potatoes, green beans and stewed okra. I had hush puppies and she had a roll. The catfish was perfectly fried as well as the hush puppies. The potatoes, green beans and okra were fresh and delicious. The price was great, the total was less than $20.00 for both of our meals together. I highly recommend Polak's.

This cute little family owned polish bbq restaurant is a great stop when heading through town. It's a bbq joint with sit down table side service. The sausage is a little different; it's 'polish wedding sausage'. The brisket is delicious. As for the sides: Choose between normal potato salad or warm German potato salad, coleslaw or Sauer kraut, and beans/okra/corn. They also offer a soup of the day, fish, chicken fried steak among other items! Also, they sell homemade beef jerky and I bought it all!

Part of Ryan's famous beef jerky tour - this place looked like great atmosphere and has a sign advertising JERKY but alas, they were "out" of jerky. I can't give more stars than 2 for something i couldn't even taste!

I think the people here are pretty friendly and everyone seems to know each other. The food here is pretty eh. Some of it tastes like Sysco and the rest just lacks flavor. The sausage is just okay. The crowd in Karnes City is older and they have probably been eating here for years. All the times I have been here are mediocre at best. I've learned to just lower my expectations because it's Sunday afternoon and we are hungry. And it's Karnes City so option are limited anyway.

Just good old fashion German and polish home cooking. Never mind the restaurants looks, just great hand made sausage, chicken fried steaks chicken and dumplings and smothers pork chops like grandma used to make.
