Poco Loco Lodge

My wife and I decided to get away for a couple of days. She loves nature and I love fishing. We were looking for a place that wasn't so far from home in Houston and stumbled upon the Poco loco Lodge in Port O'Connor Texas. This is a cute, kitchy, amazing little spice. While staying here, I felt like I was a guest in the owner's home. The rooms were bright and beautiful especially if you like bright colors, the decor was something I'd never seen before, and can't wait to see again. Each room has a little kitchenette, they stock the fridge with complementary beverages and the kitchen has complementary snacks. They had everything I needed to make my fishing trip more successful, a big old ice machine, a vacuum sealer if I needed it, And even a little guide book with great places to fish. The motel is pet friendly and you can drive right up to your room. I can't recommend this place enough!

Poco Loco rocks Port O! This 8 room motel is a great place to stay while visiting Port O'Connor. Room was clean, stocked with snacks and a few beverages and Kureig coffee maker. Extra towels included. Easy Peasy in/out . The cast is also open to motel guests which includes a large commercial ice maker that helped us to ice down our fish filets for the trip home.

Clean and quiet, a wonderful place to stay and we are only few blocks from the water. As we drove into Port O'Connor yesterday, staying the night wasn't even something we had planned. I called a few other hotels to see if my small dog could stay in the room with us, but they all said no. When I called PocoLoco to see if they would let us stay with our dog, they said yes.I didn't know what to expect when we found the place but much to my surprise it looked as if it had just been freshly painted. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was new and the inside was spotless. I have never been in such a clean hotel near the beach. The lady that checked us in was really nice and we plan to return often.

This place is amazing, the staff made you feel very welcomed. We have came here now 2 years in a row, and plan on continuing it as a tradition in our family :) they have all the amenities you will ever need :)

Saw this place on-line and thought it was so cute and the yelps were positive so we decided to try it out. It is exactly what you need for a getaway! Rooms are clean and have everything you need! The fridge has some drinks and there are snacks also waiting in the room. They have extra snacks and drinks in the Casita if you are running low. Love that they have a full kitchen, sometimes it's more convenient to pack a lunch then go out. We kayak and had no problem leaving our yaks on our cars, you're in a safe place! The price is perfect! We were able to get to several kayak spots and have already made our next reservation so can keep exploring down there. It's definitely not Austin and that is exactly what we wanted... to slow down and enjoy the moment and this was the place to chill after a day out on the water. If you see Tiffany -one of the managers- she is so helpful and is open to suggestions. Her friendly personality was infectious!

Bright and colorful! Not your usual "hotel" experience. The rooms are stocked with snacks which include: popcorn, cookies, chips, granola bars, jerky, and a variety of chocolate candy. The fridge had a variety of drinks (2 of each): water, V-8, orange juice, Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite. Keurig coffee machine with plenty of coffee, tea, disposable cups, creamer, sugar, etc. We had the room with a kitchen. So there was some paper plates and cups along with cooking utensils. The linens and towels smelled of a wonderful fabric softener not your typical "icky" hotel laundry smell. The art is fun and colorful. The toiletries are AMAZING!!! There is a common room with all the snacks and refreshments in case you need more, PLUS complimentary CORONA and Twang! There is also an ice machine, vacuum seal for fish, and an extra shower if you need to shower after your check out. Outside there is a BBQ grill and a fryer. This place is amazing!! We will definitely be coming back!

Great place to stay! Very homey! Great place to spend with the entire family! Room is equipped with all needs.

This is what small inns should be like. I was very nervous before our stay but within minutes all anxiety went away. The room was well appointed; shout out to Dale Bobs art work, and very clean. The room also had a small kitchen which worked out perfect. I have not stayed at clarks inn but at this price point will be tough to say i ever will.

I absolutely love this place. I've been many times and have never been disappointed! Friendly owners, friendly staff; lots of hospitality! My only wish would be that it's closer or that I could teleport!

Don't let the neon orange and pink buildings scare you away. Poco Lodge is the best hotel in Port O Connor for fisherman. The rooms are clean and stocked with complimentary snacks, coke & water. After checkout, you still have access to their Casita, which is a small building with shower/ toilet. The drive back to Austin, is so much better after taking a shower. They also have an area where you can rinse the boat & flush out the engine with freshwater. Poco Loco has earned my business!
