Pioneer RV Beach Resort

It was an okay place. I wouldn't stay here again. WiFi was down the entire time we were here, cable was $3.00 a day extra and had really bad service, mosquitoes were terrible, spots are very close together, was given a spot with a red tag on electric box so we moved to the next spot. Another guy came over and took the tag off and told us that spot was fine and had no electricity issues.... Well, I'm guessing it was red tagged for the fun of it???Dog potty area had tall grass, terrible mosquitoes and rattlesnake signs everywhere- maybe keep the grass mowed to decrease snakes? It was mostly quiet and everyone kept to themselves so that was good. Won't be going back though.

Decided to give this place a try, despite being told by a few families to stay away. We were warned that the new managment is awful, and the guy that is there often (Zack?) is not a nice person. We saw that first hand on 3 separate occasions. This man should never be allowed to be customer facing. He is rude, arrogant and that is me reaching to find something nice to say. We should have left on Day 3.The park: The park is huge and even thought it is "on the beach", you are not near the beach and to walk there is almost impossible for a family with lots of items. You need a golf cart, so you are paying more to stay here. The sites are so close together so not much room to play a game or sit outside with the family. Pool: I think they may have 2 pools, but we only went to the kid pool. (we walked by the adult pool a few times but no kids are allowed so we kept walking). Even if there is no one else there, the owner will come over and start yelling at your family, and young children to leave. We thought they would be okay for a quick 15 min dip during the day when no one else was there. And this pool is the only hot tub. The pool that the kids can go in does not have a hot tub.Staff- other than the owner, all of the staff that we talked with were wonderful. The night manager was great and should be the only Mgr that should be allowed to talk to customers. He is very kind, understanding and was great with the kids. Nothing like his boss!!!Wifi: SUCKED!! Didnt work in any area that we tried. We rented a router from the office for the week for $35. Well worth it but another example of this place getting more money out of you and claiming that there is wifi for guests.Amenities: They have a great breakfast on-site on the weekends. It was a loooong wait, but well worth it to get out of making breakfast for 2 days with a bunch of kids. The breakfast was good and not too pricey, but be prepared to wait. They sell ice on site but that is also pricey and they were out almost every day. Save yourself the hassle and some money and go to the local grocery store 10 min down the street.Bathrooms were clean and cleaned daily. 3 separate showers and stalls.Laundry room on site (a haul to walk to- it is near the kids pool). Very clean and lots of washers/dryers but this is also pretty pricey. $3 for a load of laundry (not a big washer), plus about the same for the dryer. This RV park is "One and Done" for us, due to the owner and how he treats paying customers, families and children. STAY AWAY!!!!!!! You are missing nothing to pass this one by!!!

This has got to be the best RV resort in the area. What a great location! Beach access is within minutes. And you can drive and even rv on the beach. Their customer service is unparalleled. Sites are excellent, clean, flat concrete pads, all hook ups etc. But the best is their folks actually looking out for you. Asking you if you need anything at all.Everyone is customer service driven.We booked for a month and now I don't want to go back home ,Gotta go, time for surf fishing

Don't pay attention to any good review this place is a sh*thole filled with sh**ty people. The staff and everyone here are the most disgustingly rude people I've come across in my entire life and I've been traveling the states for more than a year. Not one single person at this god forsaken RV park has an ounce of kindness in them. Save your money and run.

If you are looking for a place to spend too much money, be 5 feet from your neighbor, put up with the park thinking they are royalty, screaming kids everywhere, this is the place. I was told at check-in that my golf cart provider couldn't have advertising on the cart. My provider, which I will write a review on as well, couldn't deliver to this park because of their policy. I was told this 15 min before my cart was to arrive. Don't stay here! There are better places.

Made three month reservation October 2024 for January, February, and March of 2025. On the date the reservation was made , I was given the site numbers we would be staying in. January was site #471, February was site #492, and March was site #329. When we arrived on January 1st, all three sites were affirmed by office staff and again in February. The site in March was only 4 sites down from the board walk and from the beach. It was also close to dog walk. It was a very nice site with back of site looking over a field and with small amount of grass. Perfect for our dogs and us. Was looking forward to move in March.March 1 came and we were told no, we would not be given site #329. Was told sites were assigned at beginning of each month. We were lied to. I was very disappointed and hurt. To make it worse they assigned us a site that was directly behind their office. We were butted up to the wall of the building. Will never recommend this RV park to anyone. This is the first negative comment I have ever made. Being lied to is just not right and very disappointing.

Unfortunately, this place has gone downhill. We were there for the last 2 winter (2022 &2023) The new management is extremely rude and it creates a very negative vibe. There is also a video on YouTube that shows how an outside guy is treated on a day to day basis. I would watch it before you work for this guy. He likes to fire people or he creates an environment that makes it extremely unpleasant to work at. If you are a guest, you can plan on being nickel and dimed for everything. There are too many parks out there to pick this one!

Don't waste you're money. I have heard the phrase flea bag hotel, well we spent the night in a flea bag cabin. We would have left if I would have known my surroundings in the dark. We should have slept in our car.

I don't recommend this place unless you're okay with your neighbors being within 5 feet of your RV/coach. We stayed here for a few nights and it will be the only time we cross paths with this park. The lots are EXTREMELY SMALL. If you have anything larger than 28-32 feet, don't plan to be able to get your car/truck and RV to fit on the pad. The pads are 10 feet wide so there is just enough room to park your trailer. Ours was probably 50 ft long at best, so we (and many others we saw) had to hang off the back part of the pad with wheels in the grass. My biggest complaint though is that they do not stick with their policies about the quality of vehicles. We had one park next to us that looked like an extra from Christmas vacation (no joke!!). It was in poor visual condition and when the owners fired it up, it blew black smoke. I wouldn't consider it to be good mechanical condition or unsightly (as the rules state are required). If you're looking for a cheap (notice I didn't say inexpensive) place near the beach, you might like this place. We'll take our money and our coach elsewhere.

Nice nice nice. Great private access to the beach. Clean! 2 pools and hot tub available. If you come plan to rent or bring golf cart. While it is a nice walk to beach, if you are carrying your beach gear it is a haul! Many campers come year after year. No shade so be prepared to run ac all the time. All pads are concrete with lots of pull throughs.
