Phat boyz burrito and the chilaquiles are one of their best dishes so far have yet to try other things but that is a good spot for amazing Mexican food

The food was hot, tasty, and (thereby) reasonably priced. The pancakes were so fluffy and warm, need I say delicious. The salsa was more wet than chunky as well as gracefully spicy. It had just a tiny kick to it. Overall, the salsa was great! It went perfect with my tacos. Speaking of, these were some sizable tacos! For $6.75 each, they were worth it!The service was respectful, attentive, and timely. The atmosphere is safe and cozy; I'm so glad their A/C works in this hot, humid summer. Parking was a bit odd, but it's self-explanatory when you pull up. I was also pleased with the size of the cups they brought out for our sweet tea and water; it ain't a game-changer, but it deserves its praise.I highly recommend this business and look forward to my next visit come next vacation.

I'll start this by saying I love Phat Boyz tacos. Been eating here for years. Service is always great, even though the place has always looked like a dump. However, if you're on any kind of special diet, don't come here. I happen to be eating Keto right now, I walked in and ordered eggs and fajita, hold the tortilla, beans and potato. I walked out paying full price. $25 for eggs, meat and a drink. I get that eggs and fajita are the more expensive items in that meal and I'm all about paying my way, but I shouldn't be charged the same as someone who didn't remove over half the items.

It's only decent food if you eat at the restaurant. If you order Togo then be prepared to eat a taco that feels like it was dipped in water before being wrapped up. If you let them know something was wrong with your order then that will yell at you and hang up the phone. Just take your money elsewhere and it will save you a lot of time and headaches.

Got a random craving that I haven't thought about since I was a kid and since I was in the area, I swung by! A little thrown since this location used to be Mendoza's but that was years ago. Anyways, just a great as I remembered and so fast. The Phat Boy was super delicious!

When turning to LJ area I couldn't wait to get a breakfast taco! Oh. Where should we go? Driving down the road close to where we were staying and we came across Phat Boyz. I ate here many times under the previous owner, but what about now? Well, the phat boy no chorizo delivered. Extra big. Homemade tortillas. A taco that could compete with any place. Here's where they fell short. And quite short at that. Their sauces are lacking. The red sauce tastes like watered down tomato sauce with a hint of vinegar and spices. The green sauce, about the same with tomatillos. I'd go back. But bring my own sauce. If not for the sauce they'd definitely be 4 star and make a play for 5.

The door frame might be missing a piece of trim, the light fixtures might be missing their lenses, and the AC might not be as cold as you want it (as the table next to us said at least 15 times while we ate breakfast). Where the atmosphere lacks, the the food and service more then makes up for. Wifey and I hit this restaurant leaving Lake Jackson and was well worth finding hidden joint. This restaurant is located off a little poorly kept road in an old run down industrial plaza. This place isn't much to look at inside and out, but the food though, bomb. We were greeted and sat quickly at our table of choice. Food orders where taken quickly and coffee and water showed up to our table quickly. Complementary chips and salsa are provided with drinks.Wifey had the Chilaquilis and I the barbacoa. Both equally bomb. The barbacoa was authentic and pretty damn tasty. Not greasy, just tasty, the way it should be. We ordered a side of carne guisada...just to try it out, was bad at all, we'd recommend this. We were able to take a complete plate to go when combining both plates of left overs together. Tab wasn't bad either.Great job guys and gals, see you the next time we roll through

Unlike many I prefer not to cover taste of food with sauce. Got to say been buying breakfast tacos for yrs here, tasty ingredients and cheese than actually is melted(real cheese).

Don't let the building or size of the kitchen fool you. The food at this authentic Mexican kitchen is on point!
