Denied service for having out of state I.D. by some woman I never seen in there before. Been shopping here for 3 years. Never heard of such a thing. Didn't even scan it, maybe they don't have the technology to verify

The clerks are stuck up and rude. They should worry about their appearance more instead of losing customers

The store itself is fine, the young people working there are great. There's only one reason I hate this specific Peter's Cut Rate (I usually shop at a different one), and it's this geriatric woman working there who's not only extremely rude to and suspicious of every single person who walks in; but also extremely stupid or at the very least incompetent. I'd switch to this store if it weren't for her, but she's ruined my day on several occasions and I'm not giving them any more of my money until she's fired or deceased. Until then, I will drive 30 minutes out of my way just to avoid this piece of work. Also, the other negative reviews were likely caused by this woman, as I've seen her refuse legitimate forms of ID several times in a very rude manner to both military and civilians. They get one star for actually carrying what I drink and their decent vape prices, and one star for the chill young crew that works evenings some nights. All the other peter's are fine, and the one on the matagorda county line is the best; easily five stars.

Peter's does not support the American military. I have been told (forcefully) by several employees that Peter's does not accept out-of-state driver's licenses. Under the Sailors' and Soldiers' Relief Act established in 1940, as an active duty service member, I do not have to get a driver's license in the state that I'm stationed in as long as my current license is still valid. I have shown them my social security card, my birth certificate, and my military ID and they have still refused to serve me. I was told, "It's the owner's policy. There's no way we can tell if your military ID has been forged or not." Sweetheart, if someone has forged a military ID, you have bigger problems on your hands than giving them a bottle of alcohol. To not accept a military ID as a proper form of identification is a slap in the face. I suggest shopping at the Spec's in Angleton. It has a better selection anyway.
