Pep’s Mexican Steakhouse

I ordered the special hot plate with beef (skirt steak) and chicken (marinated and grilled) with grilled shrimp and sausage. The fajita meat was the best I've ever had - super flavorful and very tender. The chicken was succulent, the shrimp perfectly grilled, and the sausage really good. The guacamole was good, and the grilled veggies were excellent. The beans were alright, and I didn't eat the Mexican rice but it looked good. My buddy had the salmon with veggies and said the carrots were especially good. Their green salsa is some of the best I w ever had - I'll definitely be back! Very attentive wait staff also.

The food/drinks, the staff and the music! These things make Pep's THE BEST place to go to on a Thursday night. So much fun!

Visited Saturday 07/27. The restaurant was busy but quickly accommodated our party of 8. This was my first time there. The menu is extensive and does cater for small kids which is great. Our order was quickly taken. We had asked that the kids meals be rushed and they came thru. For the adult meals, the portions are generous and tasty. I enjoyed the experience and will definitely visit again, even though I live on the other side of the bridge.

Followed their Cadillac on the freeway headed to Portland from Corpus Christi - sounded good. Texas pasta was delicious - ribeye was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The pasta had portobello mushrooms sliced and grilled with Gorgonzola - reminded me of a really rich Marsala sauce. We'll be back.

Well I'm not going to say good or bad..... just another Mexican Restaurant. Food was OK, service was average, and the ambiance was dead NO MUSIC???? In a Mexican place??? For real ???I admit I was in there at an odd time, around 4 pm but the place had people in it and you could hear all of the conversations because it was so quiet in the place. I could wait to pay my bill and get out, like I was eating in the twilight zone

Peps' average 3 star rating is misleading to say the least. Everything I've had here has been great and the Ribeye with garlic butter on top was phenomenal. I've had the steak CAB nachos twice and also the chips and drip trio with guac, queso and salsa. This place is right next to the hotel I'm staying at so I've been a few times. The margaritas are good and they have a nice selection of tequilas including a personal favorite of mine, Don Julio 70. Can't stop thinking about the Ribeye. Might get another one today.

Maddie and Liz were more than amazing. They were absolutely fantastic! Every time I want something they were very helpful. They answered every question I had and I am pleased with their bartending skills. I did mention to them about a platinum card, because I have been asking about one. They said they'd remind management. overall, great experience.

We would recommend this place but be wary if you are price conscious. Food was good but definitely overpriced. Our waitress was decent and the atmosphere wasn't bad. It was pretty cold and it echoes really bad making talking to each other almost a yelling match.

I only review really bad or really great eating experiences, so believe me when I say this place was great! Our server warned us they were a little understaffed and apologized up front for any delays but, that never happened. All our food (for a party of 10) came out quickly and it was delicious! My wife and I shared the fajitas and everything was cooked exceptionally. The steak was so tender but more importantly, the chicken and shrimp were both juicy and not over cooked, at all (so easily done).
