It was a very nice restaurant with a relaxing ambiance. I loved the furniture and live music. It's a bit loud in there, not very private. The food was really good and very generous portions. I definitely recommend the Shrimp pasta and the dessert flight. I only give it a 4 because the menu is very limited. Not too much to choose from.

This is a top 4 restaurant in the valley. Go here. And eat the food. If you don't put 5 star, you are a lame.

I went to Pausa for girl's night and the conversation was the best part of the entire experience. To start we ordered the cauliflower and tostones, a huge compliment to the cauliflower which was delicious and by far the best dish of the night. The tostones were good, but nothing to write home about. The variety of cocktails we ordered were good but also took an extremely long time to be made despite a mostly empty restaurant. As for main courses, the duck accompanied by bok choy void of any flavor other than blanching water was only ok. The airline chicken came with different sides than advertised which would have been fine had it not gone to the less adventurous eater at the table who ended up eating only the chicken. Lastly, the tagliatelle Jona will stain your mouth black- something to consider if you are planning on a date night. Atmosphere was nice, aptly named "Pausa" there is a slow and relaxed vibe to the experience. Which if you are not in a rush, which we weren't, is a welcoming touch. Overall, I expected more of the food for the price. Although underwhelmed, I would try again and perhaps write it off to an off night.

Wow! This COULD be the best restaurant in town. However, EVERY dish is WAY OVER SALTED!The chef has amazing ideas unfortunately he overcompensates with sodium. He should let the entrees speak for themselves. Chef...please take notes:) Thank you!

The cocktails were amazing. I got the La Queen and my husband got the Jalpa Mezcal. Yum yum yum. Unfortunately the vegetarian food options we ordered (Tostarones and Beet salad) were just ok, though my mom enjoyed the duck. I probably won't go back for the food (I am vegetarian) but I may swing by for the great drinks and nice atmosphere.

Selected this place for a night out with the girls. No one had ever gone. We all agreed it was one of the best dining experiences we've had in the RGV in a long long time. Everything that was served was outstanding. We left already planning our next visit. It's just that good! Must go!

The atmosphere and food are excellent. Wednesday night is live music and half price drinks until 7. I have had the adobo pork, red snapper, risotto and the jicama and cucumber salad. Really delicious and generous portions. I asked for Dubonnet on the rocks but they were not able to accommodate me but still a very happy experience overall.
