Came here for the Port Aransas Music Festival, where they hosted a Jimmy Buffet tribute band, that played all his songs, along with all the other Island favorites. The Palmilla Beach Golf Club allowed patrons to come out on to what looked like a chipping green area, complete with a sand trap to sink our toes in, and chairs set up in front of a large, professional stage, with professional lighting, and a good sound mixer. The whole production was well done! The club offered air conditioned port-a-potties that are on a trailer, and usually out on the beach. They also brought in some of their nice, teak chairs to place so everyone had a good seat to see the show. They offered food, but it was a bit out of my price range. BBQ plates that not a lot of people were finishing, for a high price. The whole golf club is just over the dunes from Tony Amos public beach, where there's camping permitted. A really nice boardwalk connects this golf club to the beach- it's wide enough for a golf cart to drive down!

Upon arrival, we noticed the barn door was broken and there were shards of wood on the floor. When we started to clean up the wood, we were wiping up black dog hair and were appalled at how dirty the floors were. We quickly realized all the outlets in the kitchen were not working and the oven was also broken. We called the number provided and were told someone would be coming out to get into the garage and flip the breaker. It didn't happen. The refrigerator looked clean but smelled so badly like old shrimp/seafood that every time we opened the door, it would stink up the kitchen. There were fruit flies/gnats everywhere in the place upon arrival. Not house flies that come in when doors get opened, but fruit flies. We never found out where they were coming from. We attempted to use the gas stove to cook that evening, and once we turned on the exhaust fan, water and grease began to pour out of the vent from above. Not drip, pour. One of the grates was missing from above as well. We ended up having to cook for 6 small children and 4 adults using small appliances in the living room because no other outlets worked. Day two we called Vacasa multiple times and were told we would be getting a call back within 15 minutes. Silence. Day 3 both toilets downstairs that had been making bubbly noises were officially clogged and sewage was backing up into one of the downstairs tubs. It took an act of congress to ever get anyone on the phone. One of the managers finally showed up on day 3 and flipped the breaker and fully admitted that multiple people had dropped the ball. He also admitted that they knew the oven was broken from the previous guests but we were never alerted. He also knew about the vent hood issue and said it was a builder flaw. This place says no pets, yet there was dog hair everywhere and a half eaten dog treat in one of the downstairs rooms. I feel very bad for the owners of this place. They probably have no idea how their home is being ran by Vacasa. I was once again promised a call back now an entire week ago and have called and left two more messages for the person who promised to escalate the issue and call me back, more silence. Think twice before renting from any Vacasa property.

What a great spot for drinks, music and food. More casual than Black Marlin and sharing the same space. It's an outdoor bar with a great coastal breeze while you watch two TVs. There's a full bar and plenty of seating.Menu is short but has enough choices. Tacos are a good option. I prefer the Mahi Mahi.Service is friendly, quick and efficient.

Came to Palmilla for Father's Day weekend. Beautiful buildings in a breathtaking location! Friday night we had rented a cabana at one of two pools. This pool had a swim up bar, a bridge that had a "waterfall" flowing to the pool below, a basketball hoop, and a splash pad for the little ones. This cabana had two lounge chairs and a cabinet to put our belongings. The servers came to take our orders and provided fast service. The pizza from the bar and grill (served poolside) was delivered hot and decent enough for a pizza. Saturday we went to the beach, Palmilla offers chair and umbrella service. (Get to the beach EARLY during peak summer season to get your chairs and spot reserved) There is a wooden boardwalk from Palmilla to the beach you can fit two golf carts on side by side. The food and drink service on the beach took A LOT longer as the servers take several orders at once, golf cart ride back to the restaurant, wait for the food, then golf cart back and distribute out. Not the most efficient but good to know for next time. Sunday we went to the second pool and rented a cabana again, this pool has a bar that is not swim up but it's right by the pool, so not a far walk. The cabanas have two chaise lounge chairs and a table to put your belongings. Great place to catch some shade and eat your food from the bar and grill at Palmilla. It was a much more relaxing pool, lots of entry points and great for the kids to swim and splash around. Overall we had a great time, enjoyed the location and service, and can't wait to go back!

Reds is the coolest 19th hole beach bar and grille. Food was delicious. The course was immaculate. Even though it was a short par 32 is what a lot of fun. We had to check to see if the grass was real because it was so well kept - thought it was turf. My husband got a golf board, which is like a motorized surf board for you and your clubs. It was too fun. Loved the friendly staff and had a great day out there.

Great golf course and great staff! The concessions and food workers however need an attitude adjustment, my God at least freakin smile for all that is holy!

We have played this course in the past & today was the worst shape I have ever seen it. It had so much mud, ant hills, ruts & was covered in mosquitoes. It was not a $110 course. We will not be paying here again.

Course was incredibly fun and priced as expected for a resort. Greens were the best I've ever putted and the fairways were unreal soft and fluffy. Really neat approach shots and layout. Played in the morning. Literally was near death experience with insane swarms of mosquitos. Take 5 cans of bug spray. Should get you through first three holes. No cart person but thankfully the course awesomeness made up for it.

I hate to do this to the course but like the previous posts, this is a way overpriced course. I only pay because we play on family getaway weekend in Port A. So, I guess I am the target demographic.I have played this course twice and Saturday was the worst experience. Teed off at 8:20 am. Take my word, don't do a morning tee time. The first 6 holes were a waste because our group was getting attacked by "Port A" mosquitos and flying fire ants. Yes, flying. The course was also covered in mutilated frogs for about 4 holes. No cart girl. Spotty greens for about 3 holes. One hole had an animal hole by the cup. Maintenance guys were in the way on a few holes.Overall, this is $45 course but you are paying the "island" price.

Little 16-17 year old girl working the desk was rude when we asked for an extra golf cart. She didn't even look up at us once. Get nicer workers!
