Padre Palms

Great place clean and nice place to stay . Stayed over the weekend for Thanksgiving vacation and everyone here was extremely nice thank you guys

UPDATE:The park management reached out to me very quickly after I posted my review.They were respectful, apologetic, and gave clear examples of how they were intending to fix the issues we experienced.No one is perfect, the best that we can expect is that when something inevitably goes wrong, that the company does its best to fix the problem.I personally would still be hesitant to stay at this park because of my negative experience. But if the main management​ is able to fix the issues we experienced, our stay would have been quite pleasant otherwise. And top-level​ management definitely takes great pride in their parks and seems to be striving to fix the issues, so you may very well have better luck during​ your stay.

I moved to the area rather quickly due to work and needed a safe place to stay alone in my travel trailer for a few months until my husband arrived. Even prior to my arrival Chris and Carla were both very helpful and easy to work with. Yes, the neighborhood you drive through to get to the park seems a little shady as others have mentioned, however, once you are inside the park you don't notice. It was perfect for my needs and I felt very safe. I appreciate that they keep up on the safety and cleanliness of the park. Since being here I have seen some of the other parks in the area and I am relieved I chose Padre Palms. Great office staff and a nice quiet place to stay.

This is not a vacation getaway by any means. If you love the smell of the city sewer treatment plant nearby or the lovely sound of military aircraft all day and night - for this campground sits at the end of the runway, then this is the place for you. Most of the people here are long term monthly rentals - workers in nearby industries. If your a traveling oil man then this place is perfect.

Yall come Mrs. Pat she is the sweetest lady! We have been staying her for a little over a month and have not had the first problem with anything. She always has a smile on her face and it brightens your day. She is very accommodating with whatever it is you might need! We travel all over for work and it's not very often we meet people like her left in this world and it makes for a better place to have people like her left! Thank you Mrs. Pat for your kindness :)

If you have kids i STRONGLY recommend you consider staying somewhere else. This RV park is vocally unfriendly to kids. The manager confirmed they are not kid friendly at all. Another manager literally made our stay here a living hell. Consistently changing the rules which made us constantly feel like we were walking on egg shells. She had a problem with the kids being outside "without supervision". By that she means you can't even look at your phone because if your eyes aren't on your kids 100% of the time (and I mean that literally), them that means they're without supervision. She told us they couldn't go anywhere outside of our campsite unless we were with them. So we followed that rule. We told our kids that when they went outside they had to stay in the campsite and that's it. Then she came back a few days later to tell us that she had already informed us about the kids being outside. At this point she said they couldn't be outside the RV at all at any time unless I was outside with them. She told me this was her park and her rules. She told me it was obvious that I didn't care for my kids bc I wasn't outside with them when they were at our picnic table. Absolutely the worst and most unfriendly campground we have ever visited. Hospitality is a word they have never heard of. Politeness is a word they have never heard of. Kids are a nuisance to them.

I enjoyed my stay at Padre Palms this July 5-7, 2016 I have two complaints first is that the restrooms had a code to enter the restrooms but no lock on the individual ladies/mens doors. anyone could walk in and you would not know it, Second is that my gravel space number 16 did not have a stable picnic table the one there was not safe to sit on. besides those two flaws the staff was awesome and very friendly Clara and Kitty were so helpful and nice. I liked the location and we were close to many stores and to Schlitterbahn.
