Padre Island Burger Company

The burger was a solid three. My dinning companions felt a little better about theirs . However, I'm assuredly hard on burger purveyors especially when it's in your name.Padre Island Burger Company was in the right place at the right time for me. Before leaving Dallas,the Texas Monthly cover photo caught my attention. A huge cheeseburger on the hood of a red pickup! Coincidentally,one of their recommendation runner ups for Burger worth traveling for was PIBC.As I was heading from Port Aransas to Padre Island National Seashore around lunch time,it only made sense to stop as I was passing right by.The place has a great corner location,easy parking,counter service and full bar.Comfotable booths and tables,multiple TV's and classic MTV videos playing. CheckThe cheeseburger was substantial and did the trick. Better than a fast food burger but on the expensive side . I wouldn't hesitate to drop in if you need a burger fix. Mine was overcooked so you probably need to tell them exactly how you want it when you order.

We had a great dinner at Padre Island Burger Company. We were staying on the island for a few days, and went here one night as a group. there were about 15 of us, and they were able to handle our group without any issues. The food was great, in my opinion, and if I were to spend time on the island gain, I would happily eat here again. Originally I was going to go with the special that night, which was a classic bacon cheese burger, but then my daughter mentioned she was ordering the Lulu, and after looking at the details, I was sold. I've never had cream cheese on a burger before, but it was great! Some of the cheese and other sauces kept dripping out of my burger on to my fries, and that must made the fries taste even better. It was a bit chilly inside, so we opted to eat out on the front deck, and it was just right for temperature, and for our group. Kids had fun taking pictures with their faces in the big photo stand-in they had out front. We all left absolutely stuffed, and I slept like a rock. 1/2 pound patties on burgers are huge! good thing I didn't order a double patty burger. :-DPrices were reasonable given everything comes with fries, so you don't have to order them separately. The only thing I felt was a bit expensive was the fried pickles. we ordered a large and it was $10. That's steep and I would have normally skipped but there were a few in our group that had never tried them before, so we got some. They were very good, but $10 good? Probably not. Anyway, we really enjoyed it. Give it a try!

"BEST HANGOVER I EVER HAD" -Padre Island Burger Company has a very inviting look to it. When you walk in you're at the Counter where you order from a large overhead menu. Adrianna is there to help us with our questions. My Wife decided on their "Texas Cheese Steak"; shaved Ribeye, Mushrooms, Caramelized Onions & Queso on a Sweet Sourdough Bun. Served with French Fries. I've had plenty of Hang-Overs in my day, both kinds, and one of those I don't ever want to have again - but the one P.I.B.C. offers looks mighty good - and that's what I'm going with. The "Hang-Over Burger"; 1/2 pound Fresh Certified Angus served on a Sweet Sourdough Bun with American Cheese, Sunny Side Fresh Egg atop with Carmelized Onions & Smoked BACON, with Lettuce & Tomato. Served with French Fries. After ordering they hand you one of those light-up-things that buzzes when your order is ready. A good amount of people are already here and there is not many tables open - we chose the Bar for our seating. Soon the Buzzer went off and our food was ready. Picked them up at the Pick-Up Counter and was very pleased at all the food you receive - and they look Delicious. My Wife's Texas Cheese Steak is very impressive with lots of gooey queso all over the Ribeye. It's also a Very Nice Size with lots of Ribeye, with Golden French Fries on the side. My Hang-Over Burger is HUGE with a Big-Ol-Sunny-Side-Up-Egg starring at you (kind of makes ya feel sorry for the hen). The Patty is Thick with a Crusted Edge and Very Thick Cut Tomatoes with White Onions and a Large Leaf of Very Green Lettuce and Golden French Fries sharing the plate. My Wife LoVeD her Texas Cheese Steak, she said it was all Really Good and Tasty. The French Fries here have that Golden Crunch to them and you know it's Real Potato. I LoVeD my Hang-Over Burger and was the Best Hang-Over I ever had - Burger that is. The other type of Hang-Overs are not fun at all, and I've had plenty of them in my younger years with Fred & Barney (those were the days). Anyway, the Fried Egg added that extra touch to this Perfect-Burger - and it was just that. Everything Bite was Just-Right and Flavorful. This was the Perfect Choice to start Celebrating my Wife's Birthday. Padre Island Burger Company is a Must place to visit when in North Padre Island. Check-em out on Facebook. While there we chatted with the Bartender because that's what you do when you sit at the bar. He also earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award.

My wife got the nuggets and fries I got the First Date with roasted jalapeño. The burger was excellent, prepared as requested. I got an old fashioned from the bar that was on point. This is a very casual dining place and the bar does a decent business. Order at the register and your table is bussed at the end so there is no wait staff. The lady at the register was very knowledgeable and helpful for us as first-time visitors.

45 min wait for stale fries and cold burgers with buns straight out of the plastic bags from the grocery store. Yeah it's busy but if the food was hot/freshly cooked, that would be understandable but no, just stale and cold food.Burgers about comparable in taste to Whataburger nearby but not with double the price and all the wait. Whataburger Chicken strips are better.

This place was highly recommended. We learned about how this establishment started from some neighbors while staying in town. The burgers are large, the buns have trouble containing the juiciness. The sweet potato fries were a little over cooked , which made them chewy. The service is great! This place's parking lot is usually pretty busy, but we arrived midday and the patio was quiet. Our dog loved standing with us as we ate. She definitely wanted some food, but I ate it all.

Restaurant was amazing, cute little joint awesome music. Food was amazing. Drinks were made right. Convenient.To the motel and beach. Was a little small inside but a rustic beach setting was beautiful. My only problem was the stuck up rude lil girl bartender.... Very rude and unhelpful needed to humble herself and be more respectful to visitors!!

Food was amazing, the atmosphere was awesome, and the staff gave great service! Padre Island Burger Company is a must try when visiting the island!

We tried the fried pickles and they were great! The burgers were so yummy!! The Lulu was questionable with all the combinations but it all worked deliciously. The hangover was so yummy in both chicken and beef! The fries are tasty as well! AND they had drinks specials! It was a great experience. The ambiance is beach, bar scene but still family friendly.

The Good: the Food was Great. Had the Texan Ribeye Cheesesteak and it was delicious!!! Lots of TV's to keep you entertained during sporting events. Smaller than expected inside seating area. Bar seats maybe a dozen and regular restaurant seating for maybe 30 folks.The Bad: Our food was ready 50 minutes after placing our order at the counter. Our friends order took more than an hour to receive after placing their order. Our booth neighbors placed their order before us, but received their food at least 15 minutes after we got ours. It was a Saturday night, but it wasn't THAT busy. Short story is: I'd give it another chance based on the quality of the food. Our friends aren't sure they want to chance waiting over an hour to get their food again. I hope that was just an anomaly.
