One of my favorite beaches to chill with the family. We come here every summer or we go farther down to South Padre.

Clean, easy to find a spot for family. Roads are a little rough. So many people helping each other if you find a sandy spot and get stuck.Bathrooms and shower area are clean.Fun to watch the surfers!

The perfect drive up beach. Great for humans and dog friendly. It was clean and quiet. We had a great time and it was easy to walk out to the ocean. The beach was free and the perfect spot for our first stop. There is a parking lot and a non-drive up area with restrooms. We saw the police drive through twice during our visit and felt secure.

One of the nicer beaches around. Grills, beverages, tents, vehicles, and pets are welcome. Outside of glass, mostly everything is permitted. Miles and miles of beach to get a good workout, your feet wet, a dip in the ocean, or just to hang out. There are lots of seagulls! Don't feed them or they'll never go away.It had rained on the way to the beach, so the skies were over-casted. It was hot, but very breezy! And I loved it! Simply a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Texas.

Enjoyed the day here. Only beach I ever visited you can drive on. That's cool bc you drive up open the hatch and there ya go. No dragging a bunch or chairs and coolers long distances like other beaches I've visited in other statesWe had a great day

Had a great time. It was a chilly day so not busy at all. Free to get in and park. They have tables too which is nice for your food. You can park right on the beach and barely have to walk. Might be hard in a crowded day to find place to sit but today was perfect. We did see two dead jellyfish but still had fun.

A very nice beach, well kept even though numerous cars are driving up and down the sand. Great place to bring some camping chairs, drinks and a book and set up next to where the waves break for a relaxing afternoon. Lots to see- plenty of families, dogs, and even some horseback riders- in the waves. Bring your sun screen and a bag for collecting some of the small shells and sand dollar halves. A perfect and free way to spend the day.

Love, love, love this beach. Any beach where you drive up, plop down and spend the day in the sun, is a great beach! Despite cars being allowed on the beach, it was very clean and people respected the place. We found all sorts of wildlife in and out of the water and the kids had the best time. There are bathrooms, outdoor showers and a pier restaurant, if you disn't plan and bring your own food.

Living in Colorado all of my life and having my own reservations about Texas, I was pleasantly surprised that there was a beach just two hours away from the city of San Antonio. Located right on the outskirts of Corpus Christi, Padre Balli Surf Park was a perfect location to spend a day at the beach with my family. My kids were delighted with the sheer amount of sea shells located right on the shore. My 3-year-old spent hours collecting shells placing them inside her bucket and dumping them to play with later. The beach was surprisingly overly accessible as cars were allowed on the sand. That made it easier for us to grab and place our things from the car and clean up afterwards too! The sand bars on this beach made it so my kids can go deep without any worries of the water being too deep. We even saw a couple of baby jellyfish! My experience at a Texas beach surely outdid any experience I've had with beaches in California. The locals were kind, the workers were overly helpful, and the overall vibes of the city exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for a beach to spend the day away, look no further than the gorgeous beaches on the Gulf of Mexico!
