Pros: Very clean with level concrete slabs for RV and nice grass at sites. Spacious lots. Routine patrols by park maintenance. Directly across from the beach with easy access via vehicles and via foot. Very friendly helpful staff in office. Bathrooms and showers are clean and well kept. Picnic tables at each pad site. Park is gated with an access code to enter. Ace Hardware, convenience stores/gas stations, fast food, restaurants, and local grocery store less than a mile from park. 25 minute drive to Port Aransas. Beach is clean with showers and restrooms on beach and within walking distance. Rates are cheapest compared to other parks in the area. Cons: no trees and coyotes are a nuisance for the entire area from Corpus to Port A. We saw one huge coyote at the RV park. Watch your dogs and little kids closely. Grocery store is more expensive but Walmart is 10-15 minutes away. Get gas in corpus before heading to the island as gas is more expensive on the island and in Port A. Couldn't book site online and couldn't see a map of the park online. Had difficulty getting someone from the office on the phone to make reservations. We will definitely use this site again. We had to leave early due to a storm and they issued us a rain check for the days we didn't stay which they didn't have to provide. Overall very happy with the location and the property.

Depending on what section of the park u are in your review will be different. I had a great experience camping. We were close to the restrooms and showers which was nice. People in the area were respectful and the campsites were big. One side of the park seems like the original section and it's not too nice but it's only for rv's.I can't wait to go back.

Wonderful time at this beach. The people were respectful and helped keep the beach clean. Nice amenities like restrooms and showers to rinse off. Beach permits were available at the gas stations nearby.

I would give a higher rating but their showers and mens room are needing a make over and a deep down cleaning. The location is perfect no matter what you want to do on the island. Staff is nice. You can walk to the beach and ocean really close. They just need a store for needed goods and a good painting of the facilities.

Great place to camp and beach! Camped in 5th wheel for 8 days. Loved the access to beach and Corpus. Facilities were clean, staff was awesome, and park was perfect for our family! Will definitely be back. The only issues we had were beyond the control of the park staff.

We have stayed here over many years and find the new "Big Rig" area, with full amenities to be a great addition. We shipped last year due to the pandemic but have plans to spend tor to three weeks this year. There are levels of hook ups for every need.It is a great location to enjoy the more unchanged elements of North Padre Island.

I have stayed at Balli Pk many times over the past few years and it's location is second to none. Our visits were normally 4-6 days. I just (10/10/22). called for reservations for 5 days and was informed of a new policy that allows a MAXIMUM of only 3 day stays. From a previous maximum of two weeks cut to 3 days?!? That is not worth the long drive pulling a camper. Ridiculous. And she told me there was plenty of pads available (i have never seen it full). Now my money will be spent on a condo instead of a Corpus Christi county park. A shame.

Texas, Corpus Christi--North Padre Island, Nueces County Coastal Park, 15820 Park Road 22, 78480, 361-949-8121, www.nuecesbeachparks.com. The best on North Padre Island once you have crossed the JFK Bridge to the island. It is not on a bay, but fronts on the Gulf of Mexico, sand, waves, fun! Like all government-operated parks, this one is kept to be as wild as possible (not a resort). They have a relatively newer RV area that was built for big rigs, large sites for our 5th wheel, truck, and picnic table and patio. All sites are large, most are back-in, all have ample parking either at the end of the RV or next to it on wide paved lots. It is easy to drive and park your rig as needed. Good, solid FHU utilities, 50 amp in new sites. Wifi was not great, but we do not get great Wifi straight from our provider while on the beach. The newer restrooms and showers are nice. (Do not go to the old one at the old RV campground.) Also, the newer laundry is nice. Park is pet friendly. The people who run the campground are extremely helpful. We are repeat customers here--highly recommend it. We can make reservations well in advance, and without a fee. In the summer it gets hot and when you pick a spot, consider the direction you want your park-side to face with a sizzling Texas Western sun beating down on your rig. Also consider the sand is fine, and the wind generally blows from the SE. We paid $275 for 1 week.Blessings,Kathy

Overall the beach was great. The park was decent (for the price you can't complain about a parking spot and hook ups). BUT the staff fails to mention and there are absolutely NO warning signs about the coyote problem. We let our dog out yesterday (9/23) around 7am on a leash, right outside the camper door. She was almost immediately attacked by 2 coyotes. Thankfully we got her away before they could do more damage. The coyotes stayed around the trailer waiting. They were not scared of people at all. I complained to the front desk and park workers and they acted like I was stupid. They knew there was a coyote problem and didn't care. A simple warning would have sufficed. Just a be aware they are here and are bold. But no, they dont care about you or your pets. Our poor baby has been in the emergency vet overnight fighting for her life. Thousands of dollars later and we still don't know if she's going to be alright. What would happen if this was someone's kid? There needs to be attention and awareness brought to this issue before a person or another pet is hurt or killed.
