I have been in a home that my wife and I have rented for quite some time. I have been very happy here. Time is very quick. And the job gets done right.

A nightmare to work with. I bought a house in Corpus Christi while stationed there with the Navy. When I left, I decided to keep the house and rented to another family that I was friends with, which was very easy and straightforward. After they left, I hired Pacesetter to manage my property for me because I wanted a professional to handle issues with tenants that I did not know. Professional is a joke. I had to fire the first agent because she would not respond to my emails, took no interest in marketing the house, when tenants wanted to move in, she dragged it our for weeks before they finally moved in, and they had to wait at the house for 4 hours for her to give them a key on move-in day. She was extremely slow to respond to the tenants complaints and also to inform me of their issues. The agent's replacement, apparently the office manager, was no better. The tenants would bring up house maintenance issues and Pacesetter would close the ticket before it was resolved and not inform me of the isuue. This ultimately led to the tenants breaking their lease due to issues that I was never given the time to resolve. Pacesetter was fully on the side of the tenants and did not make meaningful efforts to inform me or protect my interests until it was much too late. After the tenants left, it took Pacesetter 2 weeks to do nothing with regards to returning the house to its pre-move in conditions. No touch up painting, filling in picture nail holes, carpet cleaning, etc. Minor upkeep. 2 weeks and nothing.Communication with this company is abysmal. I spent more time managing my property in the 5 months after hiring them than I did the previous 3 years. Also, they overcharge for all maintenance request by over double than what you could pay for if you found someone yourself. If you are looking to have Pacesetter Steel manage your property, you have been warned. I highly recommend you don't.

My Husband and I fell in love with a house on Naples Street that we were wanting to rent for almost 3,000$ a month. We have tried calling countless times, both of us. We have both emailed several times. Not ONE response. Not one! The receptionist could not have been more rude! She insuated that we may not have the income required to rent that home and that we " should fill out a credit/income application before they show us the house". For $35. I informed her that I wanted to see if the interior layout would work for our family before I applied. I certainly wasn't worried about qualifying for a rental. For almost 3 months now. Still no phone call or returned email. They only managed a few other properties. The absolute worst customer service rude, incompetent staff. Ever. Still waiting. Still in love with the house, what we've been able to see of it! If they are managing your property, you should definitely find another company. They don't answer calls, they don't return emails. They have a VERY rude receptionist.

Trying to rent out 60 year old sub-standard houses with electrical problems, and no one seems to care about it. Terrible communication, they need to work on being honest.

TERRIBLE. Would give 0 stars if I could. When me and my two roomates were in the process of moving to Corpus Christi we found a house that we liked and reached out to the property managers at Pacesetter Steel. They were kind, helpful and very responsive. Online we found that they had terrible reviews but we just assumed those were from delinquent, upset tenants so we disregarded them. Our philosophy was that as long as we payed rent on time, how could we possibly have a bad relationship with our property managers? Wrong! Beginning almost immediately after we moved in our perception changed. Our house had several things wrong with it over the coming year (not entirely unusual) and the Pacesetter staff was entirely incompetent at addressing the situation. That friendly, helpful attitude disappeared and was replaced entirely by a dismissive demeanor and outright rudeness. The best example I can give is our dishwasher. We had been having issues for months before Pacesetter finally sent out a repairman. He diagnosed the problem and informed us that he would have to order a part that would take 2 weeks. Fine. 2 weeks later he comes back and determines that he ordered the wrong part and it will take an additional two weeks. Upon returning a month after the initial assessment he informs us that he replaced the part but the dishwasher still doesn't work because there's a crack in the frame and it needs to be replaced. It takes yet another month for us to receive the replacement dishwasher and as you can guess its a total POS. Throughout this entire ordeal we had to individually deal with the incompetent repairman who Pacesetter hired, Pacesetter, and the owner who wanted to do his own evaluation because he also believed Pacesetter to be so utterly unreliable that he didn't trust them! Each group blamed the other in a non-stop headache that left us with out a dishwasher for months. I have more stories but I hope this is enough to convince you that there are far better property management alternatives in Corpus Christi.
