Ora's Kitchen

This place was so good! We ate our food so quick that I forgot to take pictures. Our waitress was very welcoming and friendly. She explained the menu to us and provided food pictures so we can know what she was talking about. I forgot the name of the plate I ordered but it had white rice, black beans, plantains, and shredded beef. We also ordered Arepas which were good as well. This restaurant felt very cozy and at home. The food tasted fresh and you can tell it was just made and not reheated. They may sell out fast so if they do, they may close their doors early which is understandable. They recommended to look up daily menus on Facebook or instagram to know what is being served that day. I will definitely come back

THE ABSOLUTE BEST IN CORPUS. I've been craving arepas and I'm so happy we found this spot. The service was spectacular and the food was even better. The restaurant itself is cozy. We, of course, ordered arepas and also their Saturday special. The pork was sooooo good! We will be coming back again & again. We highly recommend.

Food, service, and vibes were all excellent. Definitely get the chachapas. Also the flan-like cake was so good.

I was craving home food (from Nicaragua but some things in our cuisine are very alike). I loved their meat rice and beans plate with maduros. Their chicken and avocado arepa was super tasty! And we loved their homemade flan. Cute little place with excellent service!

What a gem! This place is incredible. Everything about it was so homey and inviting. The service was amazing, our waitress was very informative and gave great suggestions. The food was delicious! It did not disappoint at all!! Very flavorful and tasted like it was made with so much love. The plantains were perfectly cooked and I loved the tender, shredded beef. I took my dad who was visiting from San Antonio and he was very impressed. I'm very glad I let our server talk us into dessert because it was probably the best tres leches cake I've ever had. You cannot go wrong here! Please support this lovely small business. Everyone on staff is so kind and amazing at what they do. We got to meet the owner and she deserves all the support she can get. I can't wait to come back and try more.

Ora's kitchen serves food you know was made with love. My very first time going I got the Arroz con Pollo special and I was in heaven. She made me some extra tostones and with the beet salad everything just mixed so well together. We also love the Tequeños and the Cachapas that's usually are go to when we aren't interested in the specials. My boyfriend is Puerto Rican so he is fond of a lot of Ora's meals. The only downside with Ora's is, it's a small business with limited seating (no seats for babies) but that's okay bc she's a small business, she's pretty quick with togo orders so that is a plus. The prices can be a little high but I also know she has to go out of her way get the Venezuelan food shipped to her and that cost. Overall I'd give Ora's a 4.5 and I always recommend Ora's to families and friends. Se come bien aquí.

Tasty and filling! Tried a number of arepas and all were delicious. The cachapa was unlike anything I have ever eaten but was something I could eat again and again.

I love arepas and the arepas here were soft yet crispy on the edges. I ordered the one with black beans, no cheese, and asked for avocado. The server (who may also be the owner) suggested plantains. This made a delicious combination! And very filling in a good way. I'd like to go back and try some other items on the menu. I don't eat meat so my choices are a bit more limited. Would like to see more vegetarian options. Felt good to support a local small business.

It's like a trip to Gramma's house. Ora is a fantastic cook, and so sweet!! She puts her heart into every single dish, and the food is amazing!! Our first time eating Latin food!! Amazing!!
