Old Fulton Seafood Cafe & Steakhouse

What a pleasant local gem. Easily walked to from our hotel, this lounge + steakhouse provided memorably excellent cocktails (Manhattan ($12), Vesper ($19.50), even a Grasshopper) and a riff on a shrimp cocktail that was likely Mexican and simply fresh and fantastic. The inhouse baked bread impressed: warm, fluffy, and delicious, as did the boneless ribeye, which was tender and perfectly cooked. And the scallops! Garlic, buttery, a bit of bread crumb crunch. Five stars on food and drinks. Our server was a touch brusque and transactional but friendly enough. We leaned into it and had a lovely evening. We would absolutely go back and take friends with us. The cocktails from the adjacent martini bar were exceptional , well blended and balanced. Their barkeep knows exactly what they are doing! The lighting was dim but still a nicely casual atmosphere. Go as fancy or as postbeach as you like (in something more than swimwear -- did that need saying? Sadly, yes).

We were in Rockport for a funeral and looked on Yelp for a dinner place. It is in a shopping center so I was not sure how our diner would be. The outside is not super impressive. The inside was nice and the service was spot on. Our waitress, Dawn, was very good. We did not have reservations and if you go on a weekend I would recommend them. The place filled up as we enjoyed our meal. The fried fish platter was very good, with a huge price of redfish. I had baked redfish and it was ok. It was much smaller. The sauce I picked, garlic butter, I did not care for. It did not have a lot of flavor. The bread was awesome and our sides were all good. Our bill for two dinners, and three drinks was $84. Not bad now days for sea food.I would eat here again.

This is probably one of the best if not the best place we have eaten at since we've arrived 11 days ago. Food was great, staff was super great, a perfect finish to our 11 day stay in Rockport.

We were able to get a call ahead table for six at the last minute on a Saturday night during the Labor Day weekend. The staff was very nice and helpful. The atmosphere was casual but still really nice. We were able to talk without a lot of effort. Our food was very good. In addition to the three entrees I pictured, the others were baked scallops, a strip steak and gumbo. Everyone said the food was great! I think the prices are about you would expect in a tourist town. I would definitely go back.

The food was excellent. Our waitress was great. Her name Starla yes it was worth a repeat.

LOVE this place! When we are in town, this is our go to every day! The food is fresh, delicious and the drinks during happy hour are on point. I have had the red fish, pork chop, Prime Rib oysters on the half shell and I can't just pick one. My go to is the pork chop which I'll behaving again tonight for supper. The waitresses are all very nice and the hostess is so sweet and very friendly, our regular waitress is Brianna although all of the are always great. The atmosphere is very nice inside, the staff is very friendly and attentive. Call ahead and make a reservation.

WOW! Gem in Rockport! Food was 100% delicious! Starting with the salad and fresh baked very soft bread and warm butter! The main dishes of chicken over spaghetti with creamy garlic sauce and pasta Diane had roasted vegetables in creamy sauce over aldente ziti. For desert Creme Brulee, what else? The service was excellent and they don't charge a 3 or 4% convenience fee.

When in Rockport this place always delivers a consistent experience. The seafood is good and the service is good too. The drinks from the bar won't disappoint. Don't expect upscale dining, but comfort dining. It's Rockport.

I had a chocolate/strawberry martini, I'm hooked. I ordered the delicious baked shrimp, baked potato and salad. I had absolutely no room for dessert. My husband had the prime rib cooked to perfection. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was romantic and clean. I highly recommend this restaurant.
