Cool place. Possibly the oldest establishment in the city of Edinburg. Pretty good burger n fry. Certainly better than all the fast food junk lining the streets.

An old time family restaurant located in the stock yards sale barn. Good place for a steak or home pressed burger with a clientele of ranchers. I had the rib eye. Huge steak well worth the money. Included a large sailed and huge baked potato. You will not leave here hungry

The cafe @ the action is good .They serve a good breakfast & they have specials f lunch .& they have a salad bar.We always go here when in town , cause we run into people we know .

If you want to find the boys who shaped RGV agriculture, be here for breakfast or lunch. Great food, old comfort specials and outstanding beef. Quiet enough for conversations or walk up and find new friends. I did both.

Service was quick and that's all that saved them from 1 star. I ordered the steak and shrimp and you'd think steak would be on point here. Nope! I asked for medium and it was very well done which could have been okay if it wasn't a tough piece of meat. I also cut away about 1/4 of what was served due to fat and gristle. Really bummed about that meal.

The almost $20 ribeye was an excellent size BUT it was tough (tough to cut, tough to bite). The brisket sandwich was good though.

Great little restaurant with a cozy home feel. We had the chicken fried steak and it was delicious and so tender you could cut it with a fork! I love the serve yourself salad bar! We were in Edinburg visiting from Brownsville but definitely will take the drive out to eat here again! Service was friendly too!

it was horrible if i can give 0 stars i would food tasted old and not fresh waste of my time and money

This is a meat place. Unless your HUNGRY don't order the chicken fry with a baked potatoe. The potato will make 2 good meals and the chicken fry will cover a plate and it's good too. With cream gravy you need a go box. Lots of great food at reasonable pricing keeps bringing our bike group over and over
