DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!Constant problems each month since the day I moved in takes multiple calls/complaints to even have them come and look but even longer for them to actually fix the problem. Office managers come and go so you're having to deal with different people every month IF they even answer the phones! Maintenance has no idea what they are doing and will lie saying they fixed the problem just to hurry and leave. I've gone months without a restroom sink, kitchen sink and dishwasher are constantly getting backed up. My tub makes a loud knocking sound all day and all night long! I haven't had any hot water for a month in the beginning of winter!!I'm absolutely stressed being here!PLEASE don't make the same mistake I did!!!

Steal your money and say they never received rent for four months and let you know that four months rent is due after the fact that they supposedly never received rent. What apartment complex let's you go four months with out even a single notice saying, hey we haven't received your rent. Then try to evict you. Extremely shady place to rent learn from my mistake. I've filed a personal complaint with the BBB and the local housing authority. Apparently I'm not the first one to do so either.

I applied for an apartment here about 6 months back and they refused me due to a false criminal record I had. I went back to California just to get a paper stating I didn't have a criminal record at all. I showed it to them and they still refused me and took my deposit money. They gave me the cashiers check I'd given them, but they had already deposited it, so they took all my money and the front desk was extremely rude about the entire thing. Told me to come back when I changed my entire record. I believe they didn't want me there because I'm a student and my husband is a marine. I'd give them negative stars if I could.

i love living here. maintenance is great, office staff is great, it is quiet and safe.

Great apartment complex!! Found them through an apartment locator and it was a true blessing! I relocated to Corpus and had 1 day to find a place before beginning work. I had done some internet searching and found so many unacceptable places. I almost gave up hope and then I was brought to Ocean Palms. I've lived here for 1.5 years and it's been wonderful. It's a small enough complex that you don't feel like you're one of the many, but large enough that they have resources to keep the place nice.All bills included, affordable rent, nice office staff, a small and quiet complex, nice sized apartment and floorplan, and timely maintenance. Plus- if you get the right unit- a view of the water! Great place to live.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! Where do I begin. Structural damage to most of the units. Units above carports are starting to collapse, mold, ceiling is bowed, they are withholding mail, maintenance guy is breaking into apartments, reported these issues to property management and corporate, who just laughed at us and are in denial of the issues going on. Corporate the will not do anything without video evidence. Clothing is getting stolen out of washers, cars are being broken into, when you ask the property manager a question about your rent she straight up says she doesn't know how to access all that mess. At this point it is evident corporate and property management is involved in the thefts of the apartments as they refuse to do anything about. Furthermore, the lady from cooperate indicated they had a right to go in and confiscate your belongings if you are behind on rent without eviction. I've tried filing numerous complaints and keep getting various numbers to call. This is ridiculous. Don't walk away from these apartments. RUN!!!!N

I can't get my mail because the office closes before I get home from work, is closed when I leave for work and is closed when I come home at lunch. Before they claim they are open longer than the post office and they're doing me a favor since they can't keep the mailboxes safe,(I saw they did that to someone else who left a review) at least the post office keeps someone there during the lunch hour!!! If you're going to take peoples mail, you should provide the same courtesy. I can't do my laundry because my clothes were stolen right out of a washer while it was RUNNING. I always set a timer and arrived 3 minutes before my washer was done and visited with other people doing laundry while I waited. (I saw they recommended that to someone else who had the same thing happen a couple weeks ago and left a review), I was stunned when it was finished and I opened the lid to find my favorite jeans, a couple dresses, skirt, shirts and scrubs missing, but at least they left a towel and 3 pairs of panties for me. My packages get stolen off my porch, so I had a security camera installed. In spite of all the signs claiming there are cameras, there are none except for the ones those of us that are fed up have put there. The security gates never work and when they do it is the TENANTS that get locked out. Last time I was able to make it to the office while someone was there I was told "I haven't gone through the mail yet." Why do they have to go through it when the mail man organizes it by address? I stopped receiving my Vogue magazines when the mail started being confiscated by management.

Be wary if you decide to rent an apartment at Ocean Palms. Where do I start. They will steal your money. I lived there from June 2021 to April 2024. The view is great but the complex has other issues. Had numerous issues while I was renting. Ever since there have been new owners since December 2021 they have had 4 different management companies. There were a lot of maintenance issues that still weren't taken care of when I moved out. Had a mini blind in my bedroom that was broken from the day I moved in and they never fixed it. I felt like a vampire bc I had the one window in the bedroom that never saw the light of day. They sprayed monthly for roaches but you still had them in your apartment. One of the reasons could have been that I had a huge hole under my kitchen sink bc they came to fix a broken pipe under my sink and didn't bother to cover the hole. I had to buy a baby latch for my kitchen sink cabinet door bc it wouldn't stay shut. Another great issue was the mold I had in my pantry that ruined my food. Had to throw some groceries out bc mold got in the boxes. A/C went out on 4 different occasions. There solution was to bring me a portable window unit that I had to stick a hose out the window that didn't have a screen on it from the storm. Sometimes I had no hot water then when they did finally fix it then the water was scalding hot. A storm blew off one of my window screens that they never replaced. Another great issue I had was that my upstairs neighbor constantly played loud music to the extent that I couldn't sleep in my bedroom for 6 months. Every time I called the office to complain they said to call the courtesy officer who didn't do anything but yet they received free rent. Paid my rent on time all the time and the third management company begged me to stay. Another great issue was that the main laundry room in building H always had broken washers and dryers. So instead of putting money into getting new machines they decide to spend money on making it look better. Who cares what it looks like. Apparently they think if it looks better the machines will work. Another issue was the dumpster location. Every week there was so much trash at the entrance you couldn't even walk in and throw your trash away. I had to go behind it and open the big heavy door to drop off my one bag of trash. But the best issue was when I did move out with a 60 day notice which they required I DID NOT receive my full deposit back because they said they had to resurface the tub which was in excellent shape when I left. I spent hours cleaning my apartment from top to bottom and didn't leave any holes in the walls and even had the manager from the third management company walk off the apartment with me and she didn't see any issues. So for future tenants just heads up that if you do decide to rent from them don't bother to clean your apartment when you leave they will come up with a reason to keep your deposit. I wouldn't even give them one star but you to give something to post your review.

DO NOT LIVE HERE! BREAK YOUR LEASE IF YOU DO!! Where do I begin, everything about living here has been a nightmare. Within the first month of moving in, a resident got into an altercation with us because the office failed to correlate PARKING SPACES. So don't buy into those reserved parking spots, it's nothing but a sham. The staff is so incompetent they managed to mess up assigning you to the spot you live in. Not to mention I moved in here late April and my AC has been broken since May 18! I've seen 3 different maintenance men who all claim they needed a part they don't have. You'd think after the first guy they'd order it but apparently they're missing common sense too. Then again the staff changes every other week so we're just in a cycle of complaining our ac is broken, a maintenance man inspecting it, ordering a part, and repeat. It's honestly astounding how they've managed to do nothing in so much time. I don't know why I'm writing this when another manager will be in next week give me the same run around with an insincere apology. I'm honestly so sick of this place. I thought this place was going to be home, where I felt happy and safe but all I've felt in the past few months being here is stress and anger. DO NOT MAKE THIS PLACE YOUR HOME!!! You can get a cheaper, nicer, and more organized apartment anywhere else in Corpus! Living here will just result in you losing your rights as a tenant and living in agony. The staff lacks organization, leadership, and above all commitment. Doing far less than the bare minimum to make their residents lives easier and happier.

For the price they request you can honestly get better else where. They ain't on top of anything. All apartments have a roach infestation. So much theft happens here & not to mention the amount of drug dealers there is here. They have no security system to help you out, no nothing. They over work maintenance that you can go weeks with getting nothing fixed.
