Nortex Bakery & Fast Food

I have loved everything I've ever ordered from here, their fiesta omelet is my favorite and the beef enchiladas are my fiancés! Also their tortillas are my favorite in Alice!

Nortex in Alice, Texas makes those good crispy Migas. After one try, I'm hooked. Their papas are really fresh too. Been looking for something like this for years. Service is friendly too!

I personally don't really care for this place but I must admit that it does have quite its followers. This place for the most part is packed with people. They have some of the smallest tacos in town but they are pretty good. They also have that old school Mexican bakery items that a lot of people crave here in town.

Their iced cookies are heaven! 12 for under $6. We devoured the first dozen before we left the parking lot! We didn't have a choice but to go back in for more for the ride home. If you are in the area I recommend stopping in and getting you some!

This is my 2nd time eating at this place and to start the restaurant is clean with a pleasant welcome from staff.. the food over all it's really good ..delicious homemade tortillas and to think that it's only a restaurant...well it's a bakery.... great selection from doughnuts to Mexican traditional sweet bread.... this will not be the last time coming to this restaurant.. GREAT FOOD ,,, delicious pastries.... excellent customer service... definitely 6 stars***** by the way They Do Take Cards as form of payment.......

If you ever travel to Alice... Which, you wouldn't unless you're in the oil field or you're from there. But nevertheless - this should be on your list of must-visits. This and maybe the Astromatic Carwash... Do not let the name fool you. There is nothing "fast food" about their food. There's nothing actually fast about it (not that they take long to get it out, but everything's made right there, not sitting under a hot lamp). Also - NorTex is a pretty gringo sounding name while this place gives you legit Mexican / TexMex food. Now that we're on the same page, here's what you're coming to NorTex for: The Suicide Taco - breakfast taco loaded with everything that comes as a normal combination option for tacos. Bacon, potato, egg, cheese, chorizo, bean, salsa, etc. Then add what you want... I suggest avocado. Carne Guisada Taco with Cheese. You haven't had carne guisada yet. No, you haven't. No... seriously, you haven't. I'm not going to argue with you, but I'm right. The Carne Guisada Plate. Anything they serve with carne guisada and add carne guisada to anything you order. The Eclaires. Yeah. I know that's random. An Eclaire at NorTex = my childhood. All of it. That sums it up. The Chalupas - bean & cheese. I don't know how something so simple is so amazing but it is. Their homemade flour tortillas. Just get a bundle of pillows. Pillows of yum to take home. And anything else on the menu. So, next time you're spring breakin' it down to South Padre Island on 281 (and I don't know why you are, you should have taken 37, but whatever, you're driving, it's your vacation, have it your way) - instead of bypassing Alice... Exit, take Six Bridges Road (it has a technical name that I actually don't even know... but ) it's the first blinky light, go left. Then Right on Texas Blvd. NorTex is the dive looking little building on your right at Madison. Park around back and go in the side door that looks like it's a door your shouldn't go in. Cash only, fool. NOW you've had carne guisada.

The breakfast tacos here are amazing! The flour tortillas are hot and fresh and definitely the best I've ever had. Now that's saying a lot considering the amount of tortillas I've had in my life. I had a potato egg and bacon taco and a bean taco. The beans are really good too. My mom usually gets biscuits which she swears are the best. They've got donuts and other pastries which aren't bad at all but the tortillas alone are totally worth a visit.

The service has been declining so much lately, I've had it. I asked for an itemized receipt and saw how they are up charging on our order and when I reached out, their response didn't even make sense. If you want to pay for overpriced, subpar food, look no further. Be sure to take cash or they will charge you a credit card fee that they should be paying. What's next? Will we we paying the workers wages as well...I get it, everything is going up except for customer service and our personal paychecks. Sorry Nortext, you lost a loyal customer.Our order wasn't even accurate and they charged me $4.95 for "extra bacon". I could buy a pack of bacon for that amount!! Wake up and check your receipts, something isn't right here. Oh and $.83 in credit?! Ha ha ha, my 5 year old tells better jokes than that.

It was my first time there I had a plate of enchiladas they were the worst enchiladas that I had the tortillas were hard wasn't able to cut the enchiladas in two Too hard over cooked are old tortillas This will be my last time. I don't know how people go to that place

If you want a breakfast that's the place to go! They make super good tacos and a good way to start of the morning or! when your craving something sweet they have awesome deserts!
