Visited on Labor Day 24'. The little place is well-lit, clean, and spacious. The service was immediate, and pleasant, but the real star is that FOOD!! This Mexican-American confirms: this is LEGIT Mexican food breakfast! The machacado and barbacoa plates were DELICIOUS! Both the flour and corn tortillas are made in house, and are AMAZING. Wish I had pics of the food, but alas, it was devoured quickly. It was pricey, but I would return again whenever I come back to this area!

Why is this place a hidden gem? It should be on the "must visit" list for Galveston. I wish I remembered the name of my lunch entree because it was amazing and very cost conscious! The salsa was so good you could drink it!! The queso was heavenly. It was so good I poured it on my tacos. The tacos were not greasy at all - they clearly drain the meat prior to loading up the taco. On top of all of this mouth watering delicious food, the service was spot on! The waitress carried herself like she was the manager or owner; that level of attentiveness. She was super friendly and treated everyone like a regular. This is my new go-to lunch spot and will be yours too, once tou try it!

One of my goto Mexican Restaurant for breakfast and lunch in Galveston. The place is simple but quaint. The service is always friendly and excellent. Have tried their Huevos Rancheros and breakfast burritos. They were delicious and deceivingly filling. I also tried their Abuelo's plate for lunch. It was a hearty plate which consist of a chicken enchilada, carne guisada with rice , refried beans, Pico de Gallo and guacamole. Delicious!!!!

The food and service was pretty good. This is why I gave 1 star. Their menu shows one price but they charge another... that is false advertising, plain and simple. The lady who waited on me explained that they charged less if you pay cash. Now while I accept thst every restaurant, indeed every place of business can implement their own way of accepting payment, for example say cash only; what I do not accept that as the customer I was not informed of this at the onset of my dining experience. If I knew this I would have either gone to get some cash or more than likely gone to another place where they simply charge one price and take both cash or cars.As a customer I have a right to be informed of how I am to pay for services rendered. As a business owner, it is their responsibility to make sure the customer is informed of said payment policy, either by word of mouth or some sign posted where I can clearly see it. The folks at this place didnt provided neither option, that's just sloppy. Don't go here unless you wana be jelted.
