Loaded hash browns! Great way to start the day!
Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and green beans
Club sandwich with Ruffles
The bread was too hard too eat
Serving table, so lovely.
Coffee & delicious punch! The color gapped to match the rest of our party decór!
Baker's choice cookies did not disappoint! Cranberry white chocolate chip cookies and Bars...the kids liked these more than the cupcakes!
The cake, cupcakes, cookies, punch, coffee, and table-setting was lovely.
From the sidewalk outside. There's only street parking.
Perfect lighting, very cozy.
Tri-salad with fruit. The watermelon was excellent.

Not my favorite by far. The place comes highly recommended so I think I just expected a lot better. The service is really slow. They seem to be short staffed. They never filled our teas. Once we were done eating we waited and waited for the waitress to come back with our check she never did.We were told we had to go to the cashier to pay. The decor is nice.Comfortable for lunch. The club sandwich has too much bread. Too dry and cheap lunch meats. Will not order this again.Chicken fried steak was greasy and Chewy. I would not have finished it, but my boyfriend was hungry.Mashed potatoes were cold. Had to add salt and pepper to the gravy. Green beans were ok. We have both had better. I personally am not interested in returning to this place.

Ordered the chicken fried steak and very disappointed with it. The steak was overcooked and mostly crust. The steak was tuff. It is overpriced. Service and setting was nice!

This little boutique lunch cafe blew me away. Everything is made from scratch! I ordered the chicken and dumplings which were phenomenal! I can still taste them as I type! The Macaroni and cheese will catch you off guard! It's so delicious...we asked what was in it and was told it's a secret. Make sure you save room for one of their desserts!

The food is always great! Home style comfort food like chicken and dumplings, or chicken fried steak. The grilled chicken salad was delicious! I highly recommend the food! The service wasn't as good as the food. They probably hired family or friends with no experience as waitstaff. It's a difficult job, and our waitress wasn't handling it well. We saw her three times total during our dining experience. If you're looking for great food, and don't mind terrible service, recommend.

Precious little local restaurant! We got the ham and cheese quiche with tomato basil soup. I chose fresh fruit while my daughter opted for a side salad with ranch. Absolutely delicious! The crust was so flakey and there was just the right amount of ham, light and fluffy. The soup was seasoned perfectly. Nice variety of fresh fruit. Portions were just right for lunch. My granddaughter wanted a biscuit which they weren't serving and the server suggested a roll with jelly - so accommodating! Great experience!

We met with relatives who recently moved to Corpus. Bay City is about half way between Corpus and Houston. We chose this restaurant based on the two Yelp reviews.I guess we weren't as ecstatic as the other reviewers. My wife had the Tri-Salad, my nephew had the quiche and I had the steak sandwich. Everyone's meal was okay, but the watermellon & bread pudding were excellent. I'm not a fan of crinkly fries. They never seem fresh, plus I asked for them to be cooked crisp and they weren't. My nephew's wife had a bad stomach so she ordered the tomato basil soup thinking it would be tomato juice with some seasoning. But, at this restaurant it's full bodied soup, which didn't work out well, but that's not the restaurant's fault it still detracts from the overall experience. There are two dining areas. One is high ceilinged, open, bright and has a diner look. The other appears to be the original restaurant which to me was more appealing. If you like it quiet choose the original area. We ate in the large bright room where there's no sound absorption so everyone's voices bounced off the walls making it hard for me to hear. The server was exceptionally friendly but very inattentive. None of us got water refills and a couple of other requests went unheeded. The problem was, at noon that day the rather large restaurant had many patrons and she was the only waitress. So, again it wasn't that she was uncaring, just too busy to provide service. None the less, it reflects on the place. If we meet in Bay City again we'll probably try another restaurant.

This place has been in business 15 years. Don't let the small number of reviews fool you. The food is very good. We had chicken-fried steak with homemade sides. The meat was local and the gravy was excellent. We also had the homemade chicken salad. It was excellent as well. To round it off, the atmosphere was relaxing and the wait staff were very cordial.

Every meal I enjoy at Nia's Towne Square is my favorite! I highly recommend the steak fingers. The gravy served with the steak fingers is amazing. I also love the chicken salad and fresh fruit. And the quiche and soup is the perfect meal on a rainy day. The desserts are made fresh (not Cisco) and I like that they are laid out on a table so you can get a good look. I never miss an opportunity for chocolate cake to go! This spot is busy and it can be hard to snag a table on Fridays particularly. If it's a busy day and you're in a hurry, just let the staff know when you order. The restaurant is open during the week (not weekends) for breakfast and lunch. Give breakfast a chance when you have time...and consider dining outside. Bon appetit!

Town square has been around awhile (formerly Thyme & Again) and has wonderful food. They specialize in sandwiches but also have some great home cooked favorites as well. They are only open for lunch except Thursday nights. They are normally packed at lunch time being right across the street from the county courthouse. Everything is cooked to order and can be a long wait and eat up most of your lunch hour sitting around waiting so it's best to order as soon as you get there. Posted a menu in pics to help you out :)

Best kept secret in Bay City! This quaint restaurant is an excellent place to go and enjoy a great meal, not to mention the desserts!
