New Braunfels Tortilleria

My wife and I were driving to Austin from San Antonio one morning and we were looking for some breakfast to buy on our way. We were so happy to stumble across New Braunfels Tortilleria. First of all, the pricing is AMAZING. Cheap, but full of quality. We ordered breakfast tacos--I went with the Egg and Weenie, Egg and Bacon, and Egg and Chorizo options. They. Were. HUGE. Bigger than the palm of my hand. I could only eat two, and saved the third for later. The tortillas are soft and delicious and they were very generous with the meats in each taco. You will not be disappointed, and you will not be hungry after. We know where we're stopping the next time we're driving through!!

I was on the hunt for a new breakfast taco place as the one near my house switched owners and isn't that good anymore. I think I have found it! It's hard to find more than just decent breakfast tacos in this town, but this place delivers!They make everything to order, so think along the lines of a Whataburger wait to get your food, but it is worth it! (I do like that they offer call ahead, too).I had two different breakfast tacos and they were really big and delicious! The hot sauces are good and the green one is pretty unique tasting, in a good way.I can't wait to come back and bring my husband and also try the Flaming Guapo!

Amazing birria taco plate, despite the price, 10/10 would recommend to anybody who loves birria

This is my go to restaurant for breakfast and lunch. I've even brought friends from San Antonio and they are hooked on the New Braunfels Tortilleria. On July 13, 2024, we had the Asada fries, Birrira plate, the Beef Mexican plate, crispy taco plate, Chalupas plate and of course sweet tea. What is not to like it was all delicious, large portions, and our wait person Moises knows how to treat his customers. I thought I had taken food photos sorry, you won't regret any food selection. Food portions are huge you will have enough for leftovers. Plus I love my new souvenir t-shirt from their restaurant.

We wanted to try a Mexican Breakfast cafe we've not been to before. On the West end of Spur Street in New Braunfels, there a lot of these restaurants to try. NB Tortilleria was our pick today, and we were not disappointed! I got the Pork Chop plate with a side of bacon. My wife got the Country Sausage and Egg plate. We shared a Barbacoa taco just because. My wife loves chips and salsa so we got that too.Pork Chop Plate 8/10 - the pork chop was tender and seasoned well. Decent sized as well. It comes with refried beans and diced potatoes. Both of those were good. The side of bacon was great. They use a good choice of quality bacon cooked just right. Portions were very generous.Country and Egg Plate 9/10 - Ok, this portion of the country sausage and egg was HUGE!! It also comes with refried beans and diced potatoes. She said the flavor of the country and egg portion was excellent. Btw, the flour tortillas are homemade and pretty good.Barbacoa Taco 9/10 - this is a gigantic taco y'all!! The Barbacoa itself was fantastic. We did the onions and cilantro, but the meat was flavored exceptionally well, not too much grease and very tender. Definitely recommend, as it was the best I've had so far.Chips & Salsa 8/10 - nice light and airy chips and a great salsa. You won't be disappointed with these either.Service 10/10 - the food came out pretty quick. The best part was our server, Moises. Dude killed it! He was extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely took care of us and made the first time experience here amazing. Thanks buddy!Atmosphere 7/10 - parking is a little tight. The quesabirria was so good,juicy, and flavorful. The employees were really nice with service and the food came very quick

Went out here to pay a flooring invoice and asked the guy at flooring place what Mexican spots he recommended. He told us how to get here once we said we want an authentic spot. This place came through. The waiter was so friendly and helpful and recommended what we ordered. It was delicious. Huge portions so we couldn't finish. I will def be back when in the area.

These two dishes were hands down thee best! Flavor and portions were amazing. The server gave us the best feedback service for what is recommended from our taste buds and turned out to be just right. Could not complain about one thing if I wanted too. The chips and salsa were also very unique to a crunch of taste that makes you want to buy a bag or few if you could. My wife and I will definitely be back to try tacos and other menu items. The atmosphere may feel like a hole in the wall/ mom and pop shop, but is definitely giving respect and care for the products offered. GOOD JOB OWNER & STAFF. Thank you so much. Consistently missing items in to-go orders. From little things like cilantro, onions, and lime for tacos, to entire menu items. The food is good, but almost not worth it becuase of lack of consistency when packaging take-out. They will not refund missing items, you have to go back and pick-up what they missed or hope they remember they owe you that item on your next order.
