My Place Cafe

I ordered the Santa Fe priced at 14.99 was truly enjoying it. When I found a piece of white hair in my food. The server proceeded to say no one here has white hair and if we had animals. She insisted it wasn't from their cooks or servers. I advised again we do not have animals nor do I have any white hairs myself as she could clearly see. I left half my plate there. They offered to remake it or something else. Worried they were going to do something seeing as they were upset that I insisted it was on there end. They offered to discount and only removed 2 dollars of my plate just two dollars. Again the food is good there but wasn't going to eat it with hair.

It was our 1st time coming and it was delicious! Coffee was great, food was great, and service was great. Definitely feels like that small town restaurant that somehow makes you feel at home. Definitely recommend!

Ordered Los tres enchiladas and menudo. Really good tasting and ambience. The restaurant is a common restaurant for local community.

This place has gone through so many name changes in the last 5-10 years it may be hard to keep track of them all. But the latest incarnation of the old jail is serving up some of the best breakfast tacos in a town full of great breakfast tacos. Their homemade tortillas will take you back to grandma's house or at the very least to your tia's place. The simple potato and eggs and bacon and eggs are classic breakfast beauties. Not to be missed. And those looking for Machacado will not be disappointed as well. Everything is well seasoned and the portions just right. No monster style taco or tiny petite taco to either overwhelm or underwhelm you. Friendly staff and great neighborhood feel, My Place feels like it could be my place.

I had the chicken fried steak. It was well seasoned and fried to perfection. The meat was tender and the breading crunchy. I would come back again. The prices are reasonable.

My go to plate is the Rio Bravo. Beef fajitas, Chile relleno, rice and beans. Thier tortillas are fresh, and so is thier food. I've been here multiple times and am never disapointed. Cheaper prices and alot more quiet than other Mexican restaurants I've been to in Edinburg.

today I ordered menudo it's 12.99 and very horrible ! It has no flavor and it was cold would Not recommend it !!!!

This place is terrible and I didn't even get to eat there. We arrived after lunch hour, got drinks and chips,and watched many other tables who came in after us get their orders before us. WTF? So after about 20 minutes of waiting and reassurance that our food was coming, we walked out. DO NOT GO THERE!

This place is awful. The items on the menu are not even correct and they explain that to you after you've ordered and received the food and ask why you didn't get what you ordered. Worst meal I've had in a long long time.

First of all, the service wasn't great. My friend recommended this place because she said the food was good so I went with my parents and half sister's family to eat some breakfast and what would have taken at most 20 minutes (after ordering) to deliver became almost 45 minutes. Not only that but it's wayyy too expensive for food so basic that I could get in multiple other family-owned restaurants with better quality and faster and better service. For instance, we would try calling the waiter and even though she was standing one table away she would act like she couldn't hear us calling loudly... Even though we were one of three families at the dang place!!! I will commend them on their pancakes, they were delicious. And their decor was to my taste. But other than that, I wasn't satisfied and will surely not be coming back.
