Had the best time at Mustang Towers. Hope to return soon! Lots of updates done since the hurricane hit, they are still working on some external things but they didn't effect our stay

There is easy access to the beach and the pool is nice and refreshing. The units are roomy and the building isn't too large so you don't ever get overcrowded.

The building was mediocre, everything you could expect for a beach hotel. The walk to the beach was short and they do have two stations to wash the sand off your feet before returning to the hotel. They also have about four picnic tables available outside for anyone's use. The pool and hottub are clean. But they do strictly enforce the rule of no one 18 and under in the hot tub. I was there when 2 boys were asked to leave the hot tub in a extremely polite fashion. It is a safe environment that is family friendly, I know my family felt more comfortably knowing their was a security guard in the Parking lot at all times. We left our beach chairs and shoes at our door all four days we stayed and no one took them. We stayed in room 104 and had an okay overall experience in the room. It has 2 bedrooms and a room the is connected to the living room with a closing wall, which we found Interesting. The beds were pretty uncomfortable, but the couches were nice! Also in a closet there were 2 pull out beds, extra towels, and extra pillows! The 2 and a half bathrooms were very nice and spacious. The laundry room was very nice and both machines worked nicely. Also we brought movies with us and made good use of the DVD player in the room. The only thing we would really change would be the lack of food storage space. There was no pantry. And no selves open for storage. So our food was left on the counter even though there was limited counter space. We would return to the hotel and possible the room. Had a fun and safe spring break here at mustang towers!

Picking the correct condo can make your stay amazing, picking the wrong condo can make it a 1 star motel experience. Each unit is furnished by it's owner. So if you don't do your homework, you could get a bad place. So I'll include condos we have stayed in for your review.First the VIEW is amazing from floors 3 and up, below that are not great. Also I would avoid any condo on the 1st floor, as I've NEVER seen a good review for any of those units.First impression was not good, pulled up and a man was outside smoking and letting his dog take a crap, maybe a designated place for that would be great so guest are not greeted by a crapping dog & smoke...The walk to the beach is very short, that being said their boardwalk, could use steps or minor updating, the showers are nice, the pool and hot tub are great. I do not like the hot tub area having a "adults only" sign, it's unwelcoming...as most staying here are large groups of family. If you are going to be a family condo rental, it needs to be for everyone paying to stay here.Check in was easy, they were polite, and let us come in early. Reservations were easy online, you could click on all available condos and look at pictures.UNIT 302Slightly dated but clean. The view was amazing. It was quiet. However the "bunk beds" are not okay, seriously they were hard to get into and not safe. ( there is no spot at the top of the latter to get into the bunch, so have to climb and hit your head to get in) It wasn't even twin size beds...That may work for you but it would be nice to know in advance. That "room" isn't a room, but a laundry room being used as a room. Also it's right next to the front door that in my opinion needs more security before I'd feel comfortable putting small children next too.Not enough pillows to accommodate the condo. The coffee pot was old and to small to even do enough coffee for 2 people. The washer and dryer, TO SMALL. it's shoved in a tiny coat closet because the "laundry room" is being called a bedroom and has the twin beds inside. We are staying here again this year, we had more time in advance to pick a better condo, I'll update my review with the new unit review.

We stay at Mustang Towers 4-5 times per year when we have fishing tournaments. We really love it there. We have never had any problems. My kids love how close the beach is and the view is great. We all love hanging out in the pool too. I also like that they have done some updating and the red doors is a nice touch!

One star for the beach view only, then....Spiders were found in two of the beds. The master toilet was nasty with black mold in it. No toilet brush was even available for us to even clean it. Front toilet kept running and leaking. The water heater was standing in water. The queen beds were so hard, which made it difficult to sleep. Blinds in living room are broken and the Sliding glass door had a draft creating a whistle and was hard to open and close. This was the weekend of Thanksgiving as we spoke to management, we told them we wanted at least a 50% credit, they said no, they "couldn't do that", & they would credit us one night. I asked that the credit to go toward the "Thanksgiving day rate" (which would be the highest). They said no they couldn't do that either...this is very sad as we have come here for ten years, & probably won't be back. They didn't care...'saying I could have called maintenance, but of course they were closed Thanksgiving day. And who wants to go on vacation and spend time calling maintenance people and waiting for them to fix everything, when you've paid money to "get away" & relax? The couch seemed at least 20 yrs old and kept separating, the reclining part didn't work, & the plywood under cushions was uncomfortable. There wasn't a door but only a curtain In the master bath, this didn't give enough privacy if you're sharing the bathroom. We've stayed here many times and have always had an Accordion folding wall for the master bathroom. The curtain was thin and transparent, therefore providing no privacy. The hot tub was closed. Very sad, as the view is quite beautiful. They could have just been better with their customer service.

We stay at Mustang towers yearly since the 80's. This is the first year I have been disappointed room 104 is in need of improvements. The beds are the hardest most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on. There were ants in the kitchen. FirstYears I had been disappointed I would not recommend booking room 104.

The staff at Mustang Towers was very friendly, and our condo, while not super-fancy, was clean, comfortable, and well-furnished. All condos have a beach view, and the short boardwalk means the beach is only a couple minutes' walk away. The swimming pool is a nice size, and the separate hot tub (marked "adults only") was a nice bonus! Our 3-bedroom condo had a couple of temporary/folding partition walls instead of "real" walls-- we could open the "wall" separating the master bedroom from the living room, for example. While this helped make the condo feel bigger, and helped to maximize the beach view, it could be an issue if you're counting on privacy from your vacation friends (wink wink). I don't know if that is unique to the condo we used, or if all units are designed that way.Overall, a great place to stay. We'll be back!

Another year, another week at Mustang Towers. My extended family rents out 4-5 three bedroom condos for one week every year in the summer and we are always pleased. We've been doing this since about 1995, and we're convinced that Mustang Towers is the best rental property on the island. The unit I was in this year was more decked out than any I've ever stayed in before, and we were just in heaven. The accoutrements in each unit make cooking and entertaining a breeze. The pool is a welcome respite after a long day getting salty and gritty on the beach and the housekeeping staff are quick to respond to any need.Incidentally, I stayed in 104 last year and loved it. This year one of my family members stayed in 104 and found it perfectly adequate. One member of our party was located in a room that had an underperforming climate control system, and was relocated to a room that stayed cool.I'm looking forward to my 2012 visit!
