This place is a nice spot to stay at and enjoy some nice camping, place is clean and staff are very helpful. But just remember that you need to be prepared with all the necessities...There is four types of stays: the first two are a cottage or a cabin the only difference is that a cottage has a full mini restroom and shower and kitchen with fridge and microwave and a cabin is just a cabin. Make sure you take your own bedding and blankets etc. if you stay in a cabin there is restrooms throughout the camp site that are equipped with shower. The restrooms and showers ain't bad at all they are well kept and clean often, if you go go with your partner and while one showers the other can wait just outside and vice versa. The other two stays are for RV's and tent sites. In the middle of the whole camp ground there is a shaded gazebo with tables and pits for you to BBQ. Be advised that every cabin and cottage have there own BBQ grill and picnic table also, they even have a fire pit which you can buy logs at the office but your better of taking your own fire logs to burn. There are only two cottages in the whole camp site and the rest are cabins. There is a pizza place called Hunt Bros. located inside the office along with a small store for the basic necessities. There is also a pool so you can soak up some sun. All in all it is a nice place to go relax...

The staff is super friendly and helpful. Everyone that worked there made us feel like family. The cabins we're very clean with no cobwebs, spiders or bugs (which was a surprise considering it is outdoors) . The bathrooms were cleaned every day about mid morning. We have camped plenty of times and I always felt like I had to keep an eye out for creepy crawlies while I potty or shower, but not here. An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast served on Saturday for a $1.50, including sausage and drink. You just can't beat that. They also have a store up in the front office, that carries everything you could possibly need for a camping trip. The only negative thing I can even possibly think of and it's almost not worth mentioning. I suggest you wear water shoes or flip-flops when you take a shower, because the grate on the floor is kind of painful on the bottom of your feet. We will definitely return to this campground, our stay was just short of perfect.

This might be the worst booking experience ever! I called to ask about booking a cabin and all their policies involved when paying, canceling or moving the reservation date. It was never disclosed to me that I had to cancel 7 days prior to get a full refund. It also was never disclosed to me that you had to pay for for full stay if you were checking on a Friday and staying for Friday and Saturday. A receipt was never sent to me initially and when I called 3 days later to ask about moving the date for my reservation I was told a manager would call me back. I waited 4 hours for a manager to call me back only to discover when I called to follow up no one remembered speaking with me! When I asked my questions I didn't receive customer service I received yelling by team members and attitude when I was shocked no one remembered speaking with me. My receipt was finally sent to me only to find out my name was spelled incorrectly. Not once, not twice but three times! Needless to say I haven't even arrived and I am hoping my stay will be a better experience than my booking experience.

Great place! Clean, well maintained, cabins and cottages very nice! Tent camping area is pristine. Great swimming and fishing in Lake Corpus Christi, or if that's not your style they have a really nice swimming pool open 24 hours. Wildlife abounds, free ranging peacocks, foxes, rabbits, squirrels. Visit the emu, Bethlehem donkey, miniature paint horses. Inside there is a beautiful rec room, plenty of seating, TV, games, Maynard the parrot, and the cockatiels. Friendly people that make you feel at home and party of the Mustang Hollow family. I highly recommend this place for an escape to paradise. Pet friendly!!

Mustang Hollow July 2017 all in all I would say it's good for a quick little getaway but I would recommend the staff to be more clean with the campgrounds and the cabins They Don't Really concentrate on the cleanliness of the cabins there was a lot of spider webs I'm by the lake that needed to be cleaned up as well and well what can I say about the pier it doesn't look like it's been kept up in years doesn't look very sturdy at all and also bugs and spider webs all over it the place and needs to be kept up more of the grounds and one more thing they should really think about investing and putting in another air condition for the cottages for the back room I was hot.

This might be the most recent post 9/18. Very run down, of course it's off season, but still. We were second row from the lake, nice spot but ruts and holes everywhere, you can't really walk unless you look down. So many ants everywhere, road, picnic table. Bathroom, well there are two doors, one you can't go in because it belongs to spider world, unless you bring a broom, you don't go there. The other door, it doesn't lock cause it's so warped, this is also spider world but inside. The trash bin inside looked like it hadn't been emptied in a long long time. The place needs lots of TLC.

Very nice RV park close to Lake Corpus Christi. Pretty nice gravel spaces with electric and water. Trees all around, quiet.

My family was traveling home with another family from the coast and looking for a place to have a picnic lunch. Google maps showed this area as a Picnic spot. It looked very cute as we drove up but the unfriendly couple guarding the gate told us there were no picnic areas available. We had to circle through the campgrounds to turn around. About half the slots were taken and there were MANY empty picnic tables but I guess NONE wear available. We ended up eating on the side of the road. I would not recommend this place to anyone. This is not an example of southern Texas hospitality!
