I went from Academy where two guys sat behind the counter and ignored me for 10 minutes (no other customers there) to MP&G where I was greeted the second I walked in the door, and experienced the best customer service I've had in a long time, in any kind of store. First rate operation.

Awesome people there and always helpful. They helped me special order a part for my AK and it came within a reasonable amount of time.

Amazing shop that Carry's everything you need! Atf items to high end pistols to blue label they have it. Great atmosphere and knowledgeable staff! Not sure how people can give this place a bad rating because I've visited the competition in the area and honestly there isn't any. You're lucky to have people who go out of their way to facilitate your needs and stock items that are quality.

Got an AR pistol transferred and it was available for pickup same day as delivery, guys inside were helpful with random questions I had and it was a nice experience! Also has my G19 night sights installed for a great price.

Went in morning to find a replacement for my current edc gun. When I walked in it looked like I was the only customer in there as this was around 0930. The store opened at 0900. The staff were all huddled around each other bs'ing. I already knew which gun I wanted to look at and waited 15-20 minutes while they were chatting it up. I was outnumbered by the employees 3 to 1 and not one even bothered. Only after I got fed up and started walking out the door did one of the girl asked if I was helped. Of course not you idiot, you all were bs'ing while I was just staring through the glass at the gun I wanted to look at for the last 15-20 minutes. Beware if you stop here because the employees rather talk about what tv shows that they watched last night than help you.

First off let my thank the men and women of the armed forces past, and present. Thank you for the sacrifices you have made to help me maintain my constitutional rights of free speech, and the ability to keep and bear Arms. I am a medically retired service member searching the state for good deals. As you can see on the Modern Pawn and Gun website, that the PWS weapon system is a good deal. However, what is on the website, and what you get is not the same. Underneath a picture of the item there are two descriptions of what is attached to the item. One states BCM accessories, the other description has Magpul. The picture has some kind of pop-up sites attached which are not included on the weapon system. Now once you place the order online you will receive a conformation email telling you the order has been placed, and you will be called once the order is in. Expect no call. Expect to call the establishment to get a sit-rep on your items. As per the website online purchase policy;If an item's description contains an error such as incorrect photo, price, accessory or description and a customer makes the order, we will not process the order without first contacting the customer. If the order is mistakenly shipped, we may advise the customer to return the item in an unopened condition and we will refund the customer. By placing an order, the customer agrees that Modern Pawn & Guns will be the final arbiter of discrepancies in the online catalog.Now approximately a week or so later (when I call to verify my purchase is there) I take a drive from central Texas to pick up my items. The store itself was in good order. Scanning from left to right. You see an assortment of rifles, to glass cases filled with optics, to attachment accessories hanging on the walls. Center rear you have the main register, and what appears to be a store room/gun smithing in the rear, with workers walking back and forth. Once I was seen by an associate I told them I wanted to pick up my online orders. Yes plural. I also ordered a scoped rifle to see if they would bore sight it in. They did. Paperwork as always. But overheard a worker asking what to do with a pile of it as he shuffled through them. Not very reassuring to me. Got my PWS, and continued to inspect the item. Asked about the online description, and what I had. The older gentleman there told me they don't really keep track of the online purchases.I can buy a pizza at domino's for less than 8 bucks. They have a pizza tracker to show the process of my pizza being made and when it is ready for pick up, but i cant even get a phone call after dropping at least 2 grand on guns?! I'm done........I'm done. Have a blessed day everyone.Also I felt uneasy when and youngster(worker) had a hand gun on the counter. I told him if he can please drop the magazine and lock the slide back. Now i'm done.

Highly recommend the guy's at Modern Pawn & GunsThey were all very knowledgeable, friendly and willing to take their time answering any and all of my questions. Also explained how to break down the weapon. Gave me a great price and threw in a case, a box of Ammo and a magazine... They earned my business for sure. I've bought countless guns from Modern Pawn, number is different that what I've told the wife, lol. Most knowledable staff, largest inventory of all types of weapons and parts for building you own AR. Best gun store in town without a doubt
