Middle Eastern Market & Deli

We had the intention of checking out if they had the knafeh pastry to make the very famous chocolate bar, and rumor has it that this store was selling the chocolate bars.Although the effort is much appreciated to make it, executing it was not very impressive in my opinion. For $10 per bar, the chocolate to filling ratio was not worth that price tag. Both the top and bottom layers were thick, and there was a very thin layer of the filling. We mostly tasted chocolate then the crunch, the two thick layers of chocolate definitely drowned any taste of pistachio which was slightly disappointing because we were looking forward to trying this viral sensation. By the looks of it just through the display case, I had an inkling it would be that way, but truly the effort was there. We also got the Pistachio Baklava, and that was delicious! I liked that more than the chocolate. I guess I will have to continue my search for this coveted item, or just make it myself. The store itself seemed like they had plenty of items to browse and look at, which next time we will take the time to peruse the store.

Nice variety at this small market on Everhart near S.P.I.D. They have teas, turkish coffee, spices, flour, pita bread, fresh baklava, milk, goat meat, sheep milk feta, fillo dough, dried figs, snacks, and more! I think it's great the aisles are catagorized by country. They have Indian, Pakistani, Greek, Iranian, Kenyan, and others I can not remember. Most of the prices are very affordable! Good place to shop if you are looking for authentic Middle Eastern products.

The Spices are fantastic and were hard to find, until I walked into the Market. The owners were informative with items I was not familiar with. Then just as I thought I was done he suggested the baclava dessert. Omg, I barely make it home. One taste and I was hooked. Must go often!!!!

Service improved drastically since my last visit. The food has always usually been on point.

First place I visited after driving into to corpus. Decent food but most def lacking staff. Be prepared to wait 20 + min for any order.It was very noticable as they were all struggling. Food was decent and they most def did the best they could.Pro tip: grab a pomogrante juice with your next meal. It was really different!

So I have lived in several Middle Eastern countries during my career and was really missing good middle eastern food. A bartender at another restaurant recommended this place and it has been a real find! The food is fresh, authentic and delicious!! The staff were pleasant and accommodating with my every requests. I don't often go five out of five but the chicken shawarma was literally melt in your mouth! I can not say how very pleased I am to find this place. The market beside it is clean as a pin and has a wide variety of ingredients that I have been looking for. If you like fresh spices that look like spices - that you can grind fresh for your food - here you go! If you like Greek and Lebanese food, this is worthy of the top of your list.

I don't normally review like this, but this is a special case, the other day, my family and I went about 45 minutes before closing, driving far away to get there, we found on this app, they had more than 4.5 stars! so we decided to go.Once we got there, the guy at the front said in a real bad mood, I'd we knew what to ask, we just got there and we wanted to see the menu, (next time we're leaving from a place like that), he said they were about to close, like pointing out they wanted to leave.My huge error was to ask for some food we wanted and this guy said everything will be ready in no more than 10 minutes.So we went into the small market to buy some stuff, just next door, 10 minutes later we were picking our food, and let me tell you, WE ARE SO SICK, stomach ache, all of us, diarrhea, and the food was not what we were excited about. I'm attaching the amount of fries as side order, but anyway, the worst experience ever! I don't recommend, nor the place, not only the bad manners of the waiter/cashier, but the food, it was AWEFUL, horrible! The worst in many years! That's how bad was it!

Great little Mediterranean deli right by work. Owned and operated by a lovely little family. Staff is super friendly and they always accommodate my specific dietary needs.
