Michelle's Salon

Michelle has been my "hairapist" since moving to the island in 2018. I will not let ANYONE else touch my hair. I recently got extensions and she is the one that recommended them to me for the colors that I have. (Extensions are grey). I was going in monthly to keep the grey color and it was damaging tomy hair (but that's what I wanted) she suggested the extensions, even though I was seeing her monthly and I was "easy" money. She actually cared about the future of my hair. Let me tell you I absolutely love them, the color stays and we only have to use one color on my hair, no toner or anything. I go in every 6-8 weeks now, upfront costs was a little expensive but I have had them about a year and a half and they still look like they are brand new. My hair is extremely healthy now because I'm not having to get it done as frequently and processed as often. She has late (as late as 10 or 11pm) and early appointments (as early as 630a or 7am. She does it all. Eyelashes, hair, eyebrows, extensions and I get a therapy session in at the same time. She is one of the most thoughtful people I've met. Her hours are not typical because she's not typical. She works Tuesdays-Thursdays because she takes care of her ailing parents in Houston that need her attention. Trust me you will not care one bit about her hours after you have had your hair done once by Michelle.

A little bit hard to find as hurricane Harvey damaged their sign out towards the road. Pull in to the laundromat parking lot and you are there. My first time here, did a pretty good job, was happy with my haircut, the length of time it took, and the personality of the stylist. I would recommend and will be back again for my next haircut.Return for second haircut a few weeks later. Renée herself cut my hair this time. What can I say a good haircut at a reasonable price,close to home , in and out in about 15 minutes. This will become my regular haircut spot

I went to your salon because of your rave reviews. I had healthy hair wanting natural highlight. I came out with overly processed hair. Brunt ends and was over charged. I called 3 times trying solve the problem, the receptionist who laughed and called me sister / love promised that the owner or stylist would return my call, never did. Sooo, 3 weeks later I had to buy several products go another stylist to fix the problem your amateur stylist created on my hair. You know this is my image. I take it seriously. So should you. Epic fail. I would not recommend.Apparently 120 dollars for highlights40 dollars for a trim30 for tonerPlus tip= so sadR u kidding me. I expect to pay extra on the island. I should love it. I'm still in shock. My hair is ruined.

Glad I tried them for a men's haircut. Kitty did a great job. Small place, but very good option if you're on the Island.

I was sooooo impressed with how amazing the ladies were from Michelle's Salon!! They did such an amazing job on me and all my girls... If you are getting married in the Port Aransas area and need Hair and Make up these are the people to use! They came to us and make it so stress free!!! Love Love and so happy I choose them!

I recently came in and two things I asked was not to make my hair color too dark or Red, and it came out being dark almost black, I asked for medium blonde on a hair strip. She tried to correct it and put a red based toner on it!! I should of known the quality here from the salon,, dirty,messy, piles of magazines stacked up and falling over, and wine bottles all over the place, bottles, hair products, dusty deco, I told her curly hair absorbs color quickly and I think she left in on too long doing a friends hair. And charged me $140!! I do not recommen this place.

Michelle is an artist! She did my daughters hair and makeup (preview for the wedding) for her bridal shower and my daughter looked fabulous and natural!
