We had a fun time exploring this beach. they have parking bathrooms and showers available at this location. You are also able to park on the beach for $12 fee a day which makes it nice.

A nice strip of beach out along the Gulf Coast. There are lots of spots to choose from in the Corpus Christi area, and I haven't been to all that many, so I don't have the best informed opinion on which is "best," only that my husband and I visited this one while on our weekend getaway and found it enjoyable. For one, there's a sizeable parking lot to accommodate beachgoers. There's no parking fee! You just drive right in, park, and go enjoy the beach. Amazing! (One of the things that impressed us most on our trip was that CC must value its tourists, because we didn't have to pay for parking for any of our excursions.) In this lot there's also a pretty upscale, modern restroom. The beach itself was obviously enjoyable. There are spots for sea-fishers to put down their rods. There's some fun wildlife to admire like gulls and sandpipers. The beach ends on the north-end where a seabreak extends out into the sea for a man-made inland river/trench. We couldn't find the end to the south but eventually turned back around when we got tired of walking. The sand has a nice smooth texture and the water was a bit chilly in February, but you could still enjoy a splash. The air temperature was about ten degrees cooler than it was inland in the Bay versus out along the coast, FYI!

This beach was great for a fun family getaway. We arrived early in the afternoon and the beach was already pretty packed. However, the beach is so large that we were able to find a good spot. The beach was clean, well-kept and had good security in terms of patrol and coordination of parking. There was a $12 charge for a parking permit which attained when we arrived. Many people brought their pets so I would say this beach is pet friendly in addition to being family friendly. Another nice thing about this beach is that there is a side canal where people were able to fish as well. I would return with family on another trip for sure. Be sure to bring a mask and hand sanitizer!

Love this beach because I didn't have to drive my car in the sand. We parked in the paved lot, walked down the seawall steps and rented a canopy for $30 and chairs for $10 each. Beach was clean. Rinsed off our feet at the outdoor showers before getting back in the car. Awesome beach day with minimal sand to take home!

The beach was nice except there was family behind us, the two boys were feeding bread to the seagulls or birds. The mother of the little boys was acting like she didn't care that the seagulls were flocking at us, bothering us. I told my friend I wanted to say something to the mother to tell her boys to stop feeding bread to the birds. He said "we are leaving soon...". Please say something rather than having someone hurting the beach and people. Do not feed bread to birds on the beach, because they would bother other people! Manners! Manners! No one said anything to these little boys and their ignorant mother..
