Mi Tierra Cafe Bar and Grill

It wasnt bad, it wasn't great. Next time, I won't order the menudo, there was more lingua than anything. I had a few bites and after noticing what appeared to be tongue or something, I gave up. I guess they make their menudo differently. My daughter's plate looked really good though server was, not very attentive only left our food and we never saw her again for refills.

Finally decided to stop by since I live close to the area now and always happen to see the place with people. Setting seemed nice. Started with the chips and salsa and they had a different type of seasoning which I really liked so that itself got my hopes up. I ordered the 8oz ribeye and my wife had the beef Milanesa. First bite into my ribeye, all I taste is burnt. Keep in mind I ordered my steak medium well. Honestly tried a few more bites and simply couldn't. Got them to redo another one and it looked better, but it kinda still had the same outcome. Meat looked the color it was suppose to be, but flavor was overpowered by a burnt taste. Either the grill is dirty or those skillet plates were. Didn't have much time left for lunch so I simply powered through by adding salsa and avocado, but the burnt taste was still there. The rice on my wife's plate tasted like it was at least a day old and didn't even feel like it was heated up completely. She felt like the plate was at best okay. 2 hours later I receive a call from my wife since I was at work and she's telling me her stomach is in pain and was throwing up. Seems like she might have gotten some food poising. Guess those leftovers are trash then.. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but personally I would not be going back.

What can I say....the only good thing was the salsa and chips. My wife ordered a chicken dish. The chicken had a crunchy feel reminiscent of being grilled while not completely thawed.The waitress gave us a verbal menu of specials. When we asked for menus, she said the specials were a better deal and ended it there.My wife originally ordered a meat dish...a few minutes later, the waitress came back and said the meat was still frozen.Overall, wouldn't recommend this place for other than the chips and salsa.

Great little restaurant. We had stake and shrimp special. It was very well made and the price was just right. Very attentive hostess.
