Found this little gem in Gonzales while out running around with friends. I had enchilada and tamale plate. Others had their puffy tacos, enchiladas, and a chile relleno. Everything was tasty. Would love to have had a margarita with my food but they didn't serve hard alcohol.

I have been coming here for years, lately at least once a week. The food is always consistent, I enjoy seeing the same servers. It's a great small town place!

The ambiance is that of a high school cafeteria. I think the chips are fresh-made; however, whenI had them, they were extremely oily. The food is sparing on spices and quantity; however, they are not overcharging for the amount of food you get. I find it amazing that they won the "Best Restaurant in Gonzales" for 2023. It makes me question the selection process.

Hands down the star of Mexican Food in Gonzales,Texas! Their cheese enchiladas with puffy beef tacos are perfect! Atmosphere is not the best but their service and food far out weighs it. It's our number one goto place and usually get take out since it's quite busy and crowded often times.

My husband and I love this little taco house. My husband's favorite item is their puffy tacos with gauc, I'll double down on that. So good! Their enchiladas and salsa are my favorite. We both 100% recommend going should you find yourself driving through Gonzales, TX!

I am traveling from Tampa to Seattle and I am a foodie, so findinga local, authentic, one of a kind Mexican restaurant in the small Texas town of Gonzales was a most enjoyable, delicious and wonderful experience. The staff was most welcoming and helpful in getting us seated and ready for a what turned out to be a most incredible lunch.Everything was so fresh and tasty. While it may not be a "fancy" place it beats Taco Bell by a 100 miles.I left satiated and happy we could patronize a local restaurant. It is off the beaten path but if you're ever in Gonzales, TX, I highly recommend a visit.Claudine

First off! I walk in and get greeted with delicious smells, and a feel as if I'm in abuelita's " big momma" kitchen! Yup I said it. Then I was greeted with the love of family not a customer. And last but not least the food. All I can say was I was amazed from the homemade drinks to the end of my plate. I had the Popechops and no that's not a misprint, and my wife had the Gorditas barbarcoa! Let's just say this if they were cooking butcheeks I'm ordering 2!

Go for the food not ambiance. Stopped in for lunch on a weekday and the floors and under table were really dirty. Table was clean and food was basic but tasty.
