We met some RV friends in Victoria TX and they mentioned how good the food was here. We are BBQ connoisseurs and had to try it!Pleasantly surprised. Limited meats available on a weekday, but the brisket was very good! Enjoyed the sides and the price was reasonable. Loved putting a dollar on the wall in the am. Dining rooms Ike some many others have before.

The staff was friendly but the food and the atmosphere was not good. We ordered two meat plates and 2 waters (over $60!). The food arrived in styrofoam containers. We had planned to eat it there, but when the food arrived, we opened the containers and we were SWARMED with flies. We decided on takeout and took it back to our camper. The beans were okay but the potato salad looked like tapioca pudding, and because of the fly situation, I wondered if flies had already tasted it. The brisket appeared to be left over from several days ago. The owner used a fly swatter, and waved it around. Something more needs to be done about the flies.

Delicious BBQ! Just driving through and we're craving bbq. Happened upon McMillians and SO glad we did! They were out of brisket but we'll be back to try it for sure! Very generous portions delicious chicken and the best ribs we've had in a very long time!! Get you some! You won't regret it!

Unbelievable brisket flavor and texture. Was Worth the drive. Better to get it to go or eat outside.

TOTAL RIP-OFF!!!! We had 6 of us did the family deal like the guy above charged us also 250!!! NO WHERE NEAR 250 of food !!! F##K MCMILLIANS !!! DONT GO !!!

I made a special trip to McMillan's BBQ after having read about it in Texas Monthly's list of recommended BBQ places. Perhaps it was just an off-day when I visited, but I was quite disappointed in the food.I stopped by around 2pm on a Saturday and ordered the sliced sausage plate with a side of barbecue beans and potato salad. The sliced sausage was cold -- not just room temperature, but cold like it had been taken out of the refrigerator and allowed to sit on a counter for 20 minutes. Being that the sausage was cold it wasn't very moist or flavorful, even when dipped in sauce. My partner's meal suffered from the same cold-meat issue. The potato salad was unlike anything me or my dining partner had encountered before. It was very sweet, as if it was made with miracle whip and sugar. The barbecue beans were, however, hot and very flavorful. In fact, the beans are probably better than beans I've had at most other barbecue establishments.The eclectic interior makes for an interesting dining atmosphere, especially with the walls covered in dollar bills signed previous customers.Service was friendly, although it felt like the lady working the counter was doing double duty as she kept going into the back and disappearing for periods of time. Another young man kept walking out to the counter but he too was busy doing something in the back. Several other patrons came in while we were there and ordered meals, which was surprising given that the restaurant is literally the only thing for miles around.Nothing about this establishment really stood out, aside from the good beans. I might or might not give them a second chance if I happen to be on the road to Goliad, however I wouldn't make a special trip.

Great brisket, sausage, sides and service. Was still open around 1:30pm when we came by. Great side trip for those visiting the historic sites in Goliad. Easy day trip from Houston.

On my way home made a side stop here. Best decision ever!! Phenomenal bar b que! I had to pull over as not to waste this experience of eating the best chopped brisket sandwich ever! Tasted my husband's MAC plate and he's going to be thrilled. I will definitely come back. MAC was so kind and amazing, clean inside and out. Great place for a bike ride or family day trip. You gotta go.

BBQ was delicious!! The place has a beautiful atmosphere!! Louis (owner) takes your order and could not be any more welcoming!! Stacey was just beautiful and extremely attentive to your needs!! Will stop in again on our travels to the mission!!

The service was great. I went at an odd time of day so they were out of a few menu items. The Chopped Brisket Sandwich was very good! I'll definitely be coming back!
