Mary’s Tacos

Great tacos!Fast, easy, always hot and delicious. Love this place. Give it a try for breakfast and you'll be hooked.

Mneh.The first time I tried this restaurant I got breakfast tacos. From the other reviews it is true, the tacos are enormous and just one of them would have sufficed. The eggs were dry & the tacos were just overall bland.Today I decided to dine in and I ordered cheese enchiladas on the lunch special. It would seem that neither Mexican restaurant in Shiner is able to do enchiladas properly as the cheese in the enchiladas here was also not melted all the way. The enchilada sauce was sparse and the refried beans tasted like bacon and were so runny that they would've been better eaten with a spoon. The best thing on the entire plate was the rice. Pretty darn good. I am sure there are some hidden gems on this menu but after two lackluster experiences I don't think I'm willing to give them a third chance.

I've been driving from DFW-land to the Port Aransas for years...and Shiner is usually on my route....but from now on...it will ALWAYS be on my itinerary because of Mary's Tacos....can't tell you how many times I've driven by this quaint, unassuming spot.The food was super yummy for an "on-the-go" lunch...service was super friendly and really, really fast.I had the caldo de res....no stringy, greasy beef like some places. I got the small serving and it was filling and very satisfying.Can't wait for my next road trip.

Big tacos with a fresh meat and vegtables for a very low price .Definitely recommended to anyone who's looking for mom and dad restaurant.

Don't judge this restaurant by its cover. It is a older shack on the side of the road, but is clean inside and had ample seating. The staff was very pleasant and answered our questions very well. The food was very tasty and the portion size was substantial. I ordered the street taco plate (I forget the name on the menu) which had a great ratio of meat to tortilla. It could be shared between two people or be a nice appetizer for a few. The prices were great for the amount of food. Give it a try the next time you are in Shiner, TX!

They have the best tacos in this area I drive 15 minutes to get one almost every day they're always hot and fresh and there tortillas Always fresh and homemade try the corn Asada it's awesome so is the bacon Combination. You will not find a better taco in the area.

Flour tortillas are killer. Coffee taste awesome. Food is good. Service is good. What else do you want in life?

OMG! Great tacos! Huge portions, trust me all you need is one taco. Excellent homage tortillas, beans and bacon were delicious! Also the machacado was really good, the tortillas are HUGE!

Just ate at Mary's Tacos new location in Shiner. My wife had a burger with a soggy bun. The burger had good flavor though. I had crispy tacos with zero flavor. There was no seasoning in the hamburger meat. Thankgoodness for salt! Worst thing was that they charged us for the waterand didn't tell us up front! Service was not very good. We asked for water refills but never got the refill.Adios Mary's TacosThank goodness for La Terraza de Jalisco!
