Delish Mexican food served by very sweet servers. The place is clean and well kept. The chips and salsa are addictive and the enchiladas Verdes were so flavorful. Great rice and beans too, and they keep your ice tea cup filled. This is slow food so enjoy yourself and come when you aren't rushed for time.

My go to place when I come to visit, Always a great experience every time and foods is always on point.

This restaurant has been a round while in Freeport, but since it's a little out of our way, when I do visit home (Clute) I don't go there often when I visit. In fact, it's been several years since I've been there. After our long road trip we woke up the next morning and came here for breakfast. My dad and brothers come here regularly because they live in the Richwood and Lake Jackson area, and like the food. My dad especially likes the green sauce. Our waitress was extremely kind and took our orders quickly, filled our coffee regularly, and made sure we had more than enough green sauce for our food. The food came out quickly and was very good. I ordered the Hippo in a bowl (no tortilla). Very tasty, and the green sauce was just the right amount of heat to it. It's a very clean restaurant with plenty of seating, and I would highly recommend it.

Been here twice. About to become a regular. Pastor=Awesome. Carnes Guisada= Awesome. Great service. Good lunch spot.

Got the conventional eggs and pancake breakfast. Pancake tasted home made in a good way. They could improve on the packaged syrup, but will come back to try their lunch and dinner menu. Yelp should update open times. I was there on a Sunday morning.

Been eating breakfast here for a good long while. In the winter months a hot bowl of beef caldo really hits the spot. My overall favorite dish is their chicken in mole sauce. Good service and friendly staff.

Amazing food! Great place to go for local flavor and ambiance - it exemplifies the best of Freeport. Friendly people, amazing non-pretentious food made from scratch, and CLEAN! Corn and flour tortillas made from scratch, the best fajitas in the area (according to my friend-I can't tear myself away from the carne guisada.) Guacamole full of hunks of avocado perfectly seasoned instead of a sad store-bought purée. The only thing I can't recommend is the queso; the flavor is fine but it's thin. I've loved their breakfast tacos for years, and my husband swears by the barbacoa and enchiladas. Chips and salsa have nice spice and kick! I've never regretted a calorie spent on the food here, and intend to continue drive over on a regular basis.

This is another Freeport gem! The food is fresh cooked to order and just delicious. My favorite are the tacos jalisco although the chicken quesadilla was delicious as well. I agree with another reviewer the chips can be a little stale tasting from time to time. Overall the restaurant has a damp stale smell whrn you first walk in like there was water damage that may have occurred during the last few storms we had. That doesnt keep me from going there though because I love their food!

Suprised that there is no reviews of Maria's posted... Working in Freeport there are not many affordable, consistent, good places to eat. The food is more authentic and homemade compared to other locations in the area. The daily specials are really good and the salsa is the very hot/good! The staff is friendly and helpful.
