Kinda surprised by the poor reviews! We enjoyed a fun dinner here with a group of 16 people. Everything was ordered family style and passed around the table.The colleagues from McAllen did all the ordering so I have no idea what anything was, but we enjoyed it all. The steak was a little tough but that was the only minor complaint.We started with a spread of chips, salsa, guacamole, peppers, onions, steak, and more. That was followed by a refreshing fruit salad type dish, then huge portions of chicken and steak for dinner. After that, they brought churros and a cotton candy/cake/ice cream type thing. It was all delicious and the presentation was fantastic.The only complaint on the restaurant was that the music is so loud and they have massive screens showing music videos that make it more like a night club than a family restaurant. The music made it hard to talk to people at our table without raising your voice, which can be annoying.The service was fantastic and they made sure to keep everyone's drink full and dirty dishes cleared. We will definitely come back for another large get together.

This is the first location in the US and what better place than here in McAllen. The service is great. It reminds me of the service you get at restaurants in Mexico. (Think Mexico City not Nuevo Progresso). The menu is huge so there's going to be a something for everyone. Want to add that there is plenty of vegetarian friendly options on the menu. We came for breakfast, but the vibes of this restaurant feel like it would be perfect for date night too.

We love trying new hip eateries. Saw it opened right before the holidays. Hadn't had a chance to give it a try. The name and sign got us in the door. Expected something very different. With a name like Maria Curandera you expect a Spanish like cantina. No bar seating; which we enjoy. Not the atmosphere the name suggests. Today we felt like an after work cocktail and tasty appetizer before heading home. Cocktail was on the high end yet tasty. We ordered Camarones Aguachile..... We enjoy hot and spicy food, more than the average locals ; this was fire hot. Not edible at all. We ate 2 out of the six in the dish. The rest of the menu did not catch or engage our tummies at all. Service was good. Very gracious and knowledgeable (on the highest price cocktail) server. Most likely not to return.

Really bad service. And they don't take the orders correct . All an all once they get the order correct is ok food

Expensive and bland. Inside was pretty. Service was okay. Tried the black mole chicken. Came with two large pieces of breast and some rice. Chicken was a bit chewy. Mole out of the jar was better than here. Wouldn't return. Might be good for drinks but didn't try any as it was lunch time.

Expensive for plain, tasteless food. The bad experience starts with the ordering where you must use your phone to pull up a menu. It was so badly formatted that it was a challenge to zoom in and out as a PDF. Could never get to the beverages section and the waitress did not offer any assistance, though there was probably nothing she could do. Overall, she was very nice. The mole chicken was terrible. They just grilled a piece of chicken and dumped heaps of mole sauce which was tasteless. They should either change their recipe or go for a can. It would be more flavorful. The rice was disappointing. The worst part is that this dish alone was priced at 25 dollars. It's a ridiculous price for such a poor dish.

Service was great, pricey and bland food. Fajitas had no spices, just a piece of cooked meet. My daughter had her 16th birthday dinner there and the sever was the best part of the evening. The ambiance was nice too. Food options were limited. I would not recommend the restaurant for food. Mixed drinks and bar selection was great. The location is decorated nicely.

If I could give zero stars I would. First off, the ambience is horrible. I went on a Wednesday to have nice dinner with friends. There was loud dj with what appears to be karaoke. It was so loud it felt like I was at a quinceneria. We could not have a decent conversation. The servers don't know the menu. The menu is not understandable. The food is underwhelming. Tacos were served on cutting board which does not match the decor of restaurant. My order was also incorrect. I had to ask for them to take it back then they brought me fajita tacos that were bland, tortilla was soaked in oil it fell apart as you picked it up. The server spilled drinks on my back, they don't have a good selection of liquor, when I went to the restroom, the male manager opened the door to the women's bathroom and didn't knock or indicate he was going in, they charge 19% gratuity for a table of 6, and Hispanic but no one seemed to understand Spanish or even English but it could be that the music was so loud it was difficult to have a conversation. I paid $65 for 4 tacos and two Jack and coke that again was not worth it. You can get better tasting food, better prices and better ambience elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and do not eat here.

Service was ok, manager came after to ask how everything was. We were a group of 5, all ordered something different including appetizers and dessert, no flavor whatsoever, drinks were ok and the place is fun for pictures, maybe for drinks? Would not be my option to go get dinner again.
